Wow, it's over. Gosh darn it I want more too!!
Spoiler:
Maybe it's just the Noto Mamiko fan in me speaking, but for someone of such raw hot sexuality like Rin, she is actually very darned sweet and cute when she smiles. |

I had this thought in my head going into the last episode that it was going to be ridiculously epic. A shame it wasn't, though i still enjoyed it. Shame Apos wasn't nearly as awesome as i thought he'd be, but that didn't stop me enjoying the last episode.
Now i'd just like a soundtrack release.

I really dont know what to say about this episode. Its finally over and i find myself wishing to go back to the earlier episodes. As happy as i am about the happening ending and Rin having a child which that whole situation was just weird and damn the nudity and sexual tones went a little overboard this time something just didnt feel right with the episode. I enjoyed it but not as much as the previous episodes. It was nice to see that Rin and the Maeno family have been connected for thousands of years. It was almost like they were meant to be her guardians. Now they have a 3rd little tag along with Mishio hanging out in the castle. Give her time she will be carpet munching with the best of them Mimi might have a go at her eventually I find it funny that her dad kept trying adopt Rin's son.
As sweet and as nice as i think Rin is and i like how for the most part she had a happy ending, but her son hit every ugly branch when it fell from Yggdrasil tree I dont give a damn how Rin's baby will connect everyone with Yggdrasil an ugly baby needs to be punted.

Sinestra, on that final note about Rin's baby. I TOTALLY AGREE. Holy crap someone decided to beat that child with the ugly stick. I liked the ending though. as bizarre as it was, it was enjoyable. However, I have come to the conclusion this show is as close as hentai as it gets without being full blown porn.

And everything comes together in the end. Nudity was over 9000 this episode, but I guess this isn't really unusual. The whole castle exploring bit I had David Bowie's "Magic Dance" playing through my head.
Well, I guess we were all right about the importance of the few recurring items. I was like " yeah, awesome" when Rin realized the importance of the Maeno family. Still, leaves me with a "that's it?" feeling. Maybe I've been watching too much anime where the mechanics of processes are divulged in great detail. I would also like an explanation on how humans were able to see Yggdrasil so easily. Is knowledge of it enough? I'm assuming one can infer from her speech at the end that once "everyone is connected", there would be no need for Yggdrasil to circulate time spores/fruit. Also, lol the baby. |

Comeon...Rin is a beauty but what the heck happened to the baby...I blame the father's genes T_T And so it ends... I have mixed views on the last episode...is it bad in a good was or bad in a bad way? You decide. But the feeling is that things happened too sudden with not much of a sensible leadup (really, for such situations a quick explanation of what is happening isn't enough and even now I am left confused over the real plot of the story...anyone care to explain the mess of being accepted as god by the tree and Aphos wanting to spread the spores all over the world and whatnot ). And the fact that they didn't hold anything back...it was both positive and negative for a strange reason. I enjoyed the episode though, but it was left underwhelming at places and plot holes in others...I'm just a bit disappointed that the ending story could have been a whole lot better. Still, overall rating for this series gets a strong 7.5-8/10 from me. It was a unique experience, one not that common. The last title I remember watched which gave of a similar vibe as this was elfen lied.

I watch the ending but i don't quite understand Apos plan and the ending.
He wanted to be an eternal guardian but according to the rules, he had to marry the chosen bride (Rin?) and she will give birth to the next guardian. But he couldn't just kill Rin. (Because Rin will be restored through the Yggdrasil again?) The only way to get rid of her is to feed her to the Seraphim Egg? How did Rin become a guardian. (Because she ate the male spore?) Anyway, i also think that the baby is awful ugly. I think Rin have to reconsider the chances of everything being connected again. |

yea, same here Fate, dont really get it. if tajimamori was ordered to obtain the fruits of time, he cant be a human then right? coz then there's no way he would be the guardian. that means he's a guardian following the emperor's order. which begs the question? how the first guardian came about? irrelevant questions i suppose since there's no answer.
Wait!!!! but tajimamori had decendents. a guardian can mate normally with a female mortal? |

And as is stated earlier that baby needs to be punted. Since hes immortal maybe after hundreds of years of cosmetic surgery he might come out half way decent. Wait you can ask for refunds or exchanges on babies right? what if you dont have your receipt?

I really liked this show. Although I think I liked the beginning and middle more than I liked the end. The ending was OK, which translates to good as far as anime endings are concerned. The thing that bugged me the most was that IMO Apos got off way too easy. Apos needed to be subjected to all the crap he/she/it put people through for a couple hundred years before being tossed into the egg/tree/root/whatever it was.

The ending was, for me disappointing. I had expected it to end with a bang and even though it SORTA did, it was too confusing for me to even comprehend what had happened. To me the series went downhill by each episode. I loved the first half and then it just sorta went bleh after Kouki died.
What really disappointed me was the fights and the relationship between Rin and Mimi. By each episode, I kinda got tired of how Rin never really put up a fight anymore and we just kept watching her die over and over and over again. And I really loved the dynamics between Rin and Mimi, but that started to die off too...on Rin's side at least. Eh could be the Yuri fan in me speaking and no all that "hawt lesbian secks" with the Grasshopper chicks didn't please me one bit. It was funny at first, but then it became tasteless and completely useless. I did like the mystery plots and the mystery of the Yggdrasil and how in the end Rin was tied to the Maeno bloodline for a thousand years. But yeah, like everyone else said, Rin's baby was fricken ugly and I hated Apos. He should've suffered more. Even though I am complaining about the ending a lot, it IS better than a lot of anime endings and they could've screwed it up a lot worse. Well I think I'll give this a 7-8/10 because even though the second half lacked in all areas except nudity and sex than the first half I can say that I did enjoy this a lot and it got me back into anime watching. I'd even recommend it to people of course with the warning that it's VERY mature. Maybe I'll watch it again someday and maybe I'll understand it better then.

Glad I'm not the only one that felt the show flamed out in the end (And that the baby is freakishly ugly...GAH ).
The show so far had done a good job of holding my attention even through all the excess sex and blood, but I felt myself genuinely bored alot during this last one. Bad animation and shoddy Character art didn't help either (One shot of Mimi's face in the castle was a very moment for me...). Meh if nothing else atleast we got Mamiko moaning so I guess that makes it worth the watch.
