Well this was an interesting episode though wish it hadn't taken so long to get to see it. Really this just puts Araragi in a very difficult place. He's tried hard to save anyone he could and now his own actions have created this situation. It was pretty obvious that Hanekawa's feelings toward Araragi were the key to this. Knowing the guy she liked wasn't available anymore and yet she was still close in part because he needed her help on occasion. It's a tough spot since the easy solution of Shinobu isn't around. Though it's almost a positive since it forces Araragi to look at this situation. I can't see him not staying with Hitagi and yet it is still important for showing how his actions can have consequences.

Wonder about Shinobu. I don't think Araragi not figuring everything out means he's that dense. Maybe she thinks if she isn't around it will mean Araragi will stay away from the oddities. True that if she is gone he'll be normal and if he's normal he can stick with Hitagi and leave that world behind. But this also shows how serious he is. The fact he would go so far if anything did happen to Shinobu.

Liked that call with Hitagi. She calmly realizes that everyone must do what they need to do. Everyone has responsibilities and just have to follow through. Still gotta love the whole "tsundere service" part .

Anyways they left it off at a pretty key moment. Will have to settle things somehow. Just hope the time between this episode and the next isn't as long.

I think that "dense" (鈍感) fits, at least in the context of personal/romantic relationships. It's not that he didn't figure out anything (though personally, I would say that THAT makes him incredibly dense...), it's that he didn't figure out that Hanekawa liked him. In contrast, Hitagi, Oshino and perhaps even Shinobu noticed. Of course, the fact that he has "surprisingly few friends" would have contributed to his deficiency in this department.

Your theory about Shinobu's thinking is quite different to what Black Hanekawa postulates about her disappearance, though that's because the cat is looking at the situation from the point of view of her master's problem. However, given how Nadeko felt when they all stayed over at the cram school after her exorcism (i.e. that Shinobu was glaring at her, or something to that effect), I'd be willing to bet on the cat being right, at least to a certain extent.

I know that her main purpose of the date was to introduce Araragi to her father and also to introduce her father to Araragi. That conversation bit about pervert things is just a side gag. My point is that if she could do something like sex phone then I think that she was qualified as a pervert person.

Shinobu went missing . Araragi wanted to find her with the help of the others girls .
Hitagi didn't want ^^ and "Tsundere Service" , that was cute
And finally the revelation => Hanekawa loves Araragi that why she's stressed .
Of course , the end with a Cliffhanger lol

Actually the direct translation of the quote is "So it is a situation where you need to borrow a cat's paw's help."

But a cat is fine reference is good too.

This reference back to the thirteenth episode when Araragi and Tsubasa were talking on the phone about the three people who had their letters read on the radio.

Nadeko was Big Bear Cat and Kanbaru and Hitagi were the other two.

Araragi actually followed up with a couple of lines:

What programming is this, the ratings are so high!

Is everyone listening to it!?

Damn it, I'm not keeping up with the trends!

God I missed this show, I've been waiting for ever for this episode. The episode it self was great as you would expect from Bakemonogatari. Black Hanekawa was awesome I wouldn't mind her hug/shocking me like she did Araragi.

The tsundere service was awesome too, I mean you can't have a Bakemonogatari episode without Hitagi, I missed her so much. Really looking forward to next episode hopefully it won't take long for it to come out.

Someone tell me what other animes Nadeko's voice actor stars in. Her "onii-chan" is just too cute and alluring it's sucking me in. Next week of continuous episode replay and i'll be her bidding slave.

We need more Nadeko doujins out. Most are Hitagi, i've only seen maybe one raw nadeko doujin... er I shouldn't be talking about this. *Cough* Her pajamas sure were something this episode right guys...? >.<
