Position: Translator (Check)
Group: Shindou-Anime Projects: Hunter x Hunter JSAT '98 Pilot, Hunter x Hunter OVAs IRC Channel: #shindou-anime@irc.rizon.net IRC Contact: Skr or [Umi] on rizon So we are trying to find someone interested in translating the pilot to Hunter x Hunter that was shown at the 1998 Jump Super Anime Tour. We have a raw (though not HQ since it was only released on VHS), but still. It's never been subbed before, to my knowledge, so it'd be cool to get it out there. Just need a TL'er for it to go out, everything else is covered. For the HxH OVAs, we have the R2s, and we have old crappy subs and official English manga. It really sucks having an awesome looking encode and such and then a iffy translation. For these, a TLC might suffice. Would just need to go over the scripts that we have conjured together to make sure it isn't too free on TL. Anything would help Thanks. Last edited by Chrollo Lucilfer; 2010-03-28 at 17:20. |

Genshi Shonen Ryu
Hello every anime/manga fan of Genshi Shonen Ryu & other old shounen.
This is a early shounen which was broadcasted in Japan between 1971-1972, and is a favourite amongst many, for some reason unclear to me there havenīt been any attempt on subbing this. We are also looking for people for the manga which was written by the legendary Shoraro Ishinomori who did Cyborg 009, Kamen Rider etc. We need: Japanese to English translators Swedish to English translators Timers Encoders Contact: micke_martensson@hotmail.com If someone is interested in this, then just write a line or two or PM, also by knowing someone who can do this kind of work, then ask them. Or if you personally want to be a part of the project then please write! Spread the word. /GnK |

LOOKING FOR STAFF FOR A SCANLATION PROJECT.
Sorry I realise this is meant to be for fansubs but I figured people wouldn't mind a scanlation position being advertised. Position(s): Experienced Typesetter mainly, rebuilders are also required, but will consider experienced applicants for any other position except proofreading which is oversubscribed Group: AQUASTAR-ANIME Project(s): Light shounen moe/ecchi series that is NOT scanlated by anyone else. IRC Channel: irc.rizon.net #aquastar-anime IRC Contact: conman or cman E-Mail: conman@ittaku-subs.net We're a group of mostly experienced scanlators who worked for years on the Mahou Sensei Negima project till it got over scanlated by speedlators and our staff got tired of working on it in that climate. We're looking to start up a less intense light series. We work at a casual pace with real life taking precedence and our emphasis is on decent quality releases rather than speed. See one of our previous releases for an example. (ignore ittaku in the title, that's my personal webspace and I represent aquastar). http://ittaku-subs.net/Negima/ We'd be looking to do similar style and quality typesetting of dialogue and sound effects, but on a series without magic spells and less rebuilding. Thanks! Last edited by conman; 2010-04-03 at 03:17. |

Phantom-subs are recruiting!
We're currently in need of more translators and translation checkers, chinese/japanese-english, for our spring projects; Senkou no Night Raid and Hakuouki Shinsengumi Kitan. For those two posts we don't require much fansubbing experience, though it would of course be a plus. We've also got open positions for timers and encoders. Contact info : IRC : #phantom-subs@irc.rizon.net Contact Kamikazeeee or Hazuki_quofei. E-mail : Phantomsubs@hotmail.com MSN : leifruben@hotmail.com AIM : Kamikazenor Website : Phantom-subs.net

I'm interested in to founding a fansub group.
Looking for: Chinese or Japanese > English Translators (You can translate whatever you like as long as it's not a show that's been done to death like K-ON or Bakemonogatari) Fansub experience a plus for JP translators, but not required. Experience would be prefered for CH translators. Encoders Fansub experience required. Timers Experience required. Editors/QCers Experience prefered but not required. I'll probably have a small test for you. Have one translator interested in doing something next season. If you're a TL and want to do something this season no problem. Contact me by PMing me here, PMing me on irc.rizon.net or joining #seiippai @ irc.rizon.net and leaving a message. Alternatively leave a comment at http://seiippai.wordpress.com Alternatively e-mail me at x3oyanimu AT gmail DOT com. Cheers. STILL URGENTLY LOOKING FOR TRANSLATORS FOR LITERALLY ANY SHOW YOU LIKE THIS SEASON Last edited by X3OY; 2010-04-19 at 17:33. |

Group: Commie
Contacts IRC: #commie@irc.rizon.net (/msg RHExcelion or cryptw) Current Projects: - Rainbow - Arakawa Under the Bridge - Katanagatari (One episode per month. Closed captions and official transcripts provided) - Night Raid Various other shows might be added. Position(s): Translator(s) - Translate Japanese to English. By translate we mean the result must be in easily comprehensible English. Must not take ages doing it. Translation Checker(s) - Must have A++++ Japanese to catch errors made by the Translator(s) or Editors. Timers - If you can do this you'd know. Make sure you are awake within a couple hours of the shows airing (preferably while it's airing) and you can time a show in about as much time as its actual length or less. Editors - Make the script's English even more natural. Must not be afraid of doing stuff. Typesetters - Soft Subbed Typesetting only. Don't bother applying if you don't know know what these buttons do and regularly use them. QCs - Have an eye for detail and be awake and actually ready to QC the moment we finish subbing. Joints: We welcome joints from other fansub groups. We provide the final encode (no hard subbing) usually within 3 hours of airing. All other jobs are negotiable. We also have a benefits plan(tm) that will primarily benefit other fansubbers, but should benefit anyone. Important Information: We speed sub, so you should be on IRC whenever you are on the computer, and you should be on the computer... let's just say quite a lot. Yes, all that also implies that you should be familiar with airing times, and if not, be able to look them up and be available based on them. |

Enigma Collective
We need a little help to finish one of our more-or-less stalled projects. The project is, as you may have guessed, Guin Saga. It has been going far too slow so I have reshuffled some of the staff to see if we can speed it up a bit, but in order for us to still bring our leechers the same quality they have come to expect, we will be hiring another Quality Checker to make sure that quality remains the case. If you think your English skills are above average and you have an eye for spotting mistakes then this is the job for you. To apply, simply send an email with the subject line "Application" to either donkie737@enigmacollective.org or to damee@enigmacollective.org Alternatively you can visit the Recruits section of our forums, or go to #enigma-recruits@irc.rizon.net on IRC. Of course you won't just be working on Guin Saga. You'll still be free to help out with our other projects as well. |
