Animes such as Naruto and Chrno Crusade used to have smooth animation. However, after I unstalled my codec pack and followed the media configuration guide, the images of these two anime became blocky, as in, characters, items, all seem to be made of visible little squares. Only in these two animes that I watch do this problem occur.
Anyone has suggestions or solutions?

The only time I've seen blockyness is with older versions of ffdshow/xvid when decoding an xvid file. You probably have the right version installed but check to make sure you have the 5-23-03 version or higher of ffdshow installed and decoding xvid with libavcodec, or xvid 1.0 beta3.

This raises two new problems...where can I check which versions I have and where can I get these newer ones? I don't see it in Media Config but I could have missed it...

It isn't listed in Media Config because ffdshow-alpha decodes XviD 1.0 perfectly. If you want it get it at http://www.roeder.goe.net/~koepi/xvid.shtml
