Theoretically, combustion-powered gun are restricted to Mach 6, at best, as for now Mach 4-4.5 seems to be the most efficient operational limit.

This is why people pursue gauss gun or rail gun, bigger bang for the same package, people want their weapon as small as possible.

“Damn, it’s so tiring, and I haven’t finished my homework yet”

“Lazy” I chuckled “Seriously, it’s not that hard right? Anything I can help?”

“Nah, my fault, I underestimate it” he whipped out a pen and began scribbling, I tilted my head curiously “At least I have this secret weapon”

“What secret weapon?” I asked.

He smirked and began to open his homework, the real one. Like most elite school, the only papers we use these days are the printed textbook or assignment, anything else is mostly digitalized. Multiple windows at once, I began to arrange them in a way that I can see everything at once.

“Using this formula, everything can be done in a very short time. You see, question number six and nine is mostly when the position of variable swapped”

He skillfully done one by one with the speed one won’t really expect, one glance of him, you won’t see someone with top grade in physic. But as I heard from multiple sources, his understanding of how stuff works is not merely on paper.

But Ichika don’t even blink, not even when a knife almost sliced his neck.
He actually smirked.

“Che, if only you were this strong back then” Bodewig chided, secured her weapon skillfully. I sighed in relief.

“I know it’s my fault, not strong enough to protect Madoka or escape” Ichika told her quite calmly as he prepared hot water… for some reason “Coffee or tea?”

“Whatever” Bodewig sat aside of the dining table “I’m only here to ask”

Ichika put a cup of warm cappuccino in front of Laura, I decided to rest my back on the wall instead, listening openly.

“Go ahead”

“Who is Yoshio?”

“Chifuyu-nee told you?”

“No, I overheard” Bodewig muttered, apparently felt a little ashamed while at it. Makes sense, considering how devoted she is to Orimura-sensei.

“… Yoshi, it’s been a long time… I think. It all began ten years ago…”

“You twins are so cute~”

“He’s one of the earliest people I knew, along with Chifuyu-nee, Madoka, Houki and her families. I never remember anything about my parents, not a bit. Chifuyu-nee told me they left, and then, he came”

“Don’t spoil them, Yoshi”

“Don’t be absurd, Chifuyu. They’re barely five years old”

“He always play with us when Chifuyu-nee is busy, I remember he also pestered us to move with his family instead. But Chifuyu-nee refused”

Again, why? Because Chifuyu has a robot suit? I admit it feels out of place. Then again, that's what people said about Accelerator suddenly turning into a guy who took a bullet to the brain for someone he barely knew. And look where that turned out

point is that the lore already ripped everything apart. It pointed out NOTHING can go toe to toe with IS. We "OC" writers get flak for even trying to imply something could be better than IS.

Chifuyu is supposed to be OP beyond all measure and can stop an IS attack. But without the IS. So everyone gets a measure of her strength. Then she gets a powersuit to augment it to fight IS. just something about that makes one facepalm. Facepalm beyond all reason, recognition and logic. I think it would've been more acceptable to make Chifuyu fight in her work suit with an Uchigane blade.

Accelerator didn't take the bullet for her. He hesitated, and the guy didn't really threaten him with gunpoint so much as point, freak out and squeeze the trigger.

Could be handled better, I understand the need for extra implement at any rate, but for all we knew, it's just mundane snake suit with six sword hanger.
