I tend to agree. Well, all series has its own ups and downs, what we can do is wait and hope the next 1 will be one of its 'Up' episodes

-Sakurai-sensei is on the hunt to do her job as a student guidance counselor. Her first encounter is Sasahara-san, who is eating quite a hefty breakfast. Sasahara makes a big scene about not eating breakfast, making Misato slightly embarrassed. Sasahara comments that his necktie is about encounters and miracles in everyday life.
-I feel sorry for Nakanoko. He is such a nice guy, but is always in the hurt because of hairstyle. It is not his fault that hair does not grow on his sides.
-Do not understand the bathroom stall joke.
-Nano and the professor buy groceries together. No matter how smart the professor is, she will always be a little girl, wanting snacks, sweets, and all. Both encounter an iced snowman that costs a dollar. Since Nano finds it cute, she buys it. In return, Hakase gets a snack. Now that both return, Sakamoto asks for his food. The result? Shaved ice with a pun.
-Hakase screwed up trying to cheat.
-Everyone is taking the midterm exams. The students are focused on their test; Sakurai-sempai is sleeping. The only thing off about this is Mai standing on top of the desk and looking straight ahead. Yukko is extremely confused as to what she is doing. She does not look at her for one second, and she is substituted with a pencil. Thinking that she is a ninja, Yuuko assumed she was standing on the ceiling, but she was just behind her. Mai makes another sudden movvement, and performs a finger touch with a drawing on the blackboard. Extremely frightened, Yukko signals Mio to turn around, but Mio takes the signal the wrong way and hands her an eraser. Yukko turns around, and the next thing she knows, Mai is actually bold, which shocks both Yuuko and the principal form outside. Soon, the test was over, and Yukko has not made any progress whatsoever. The bold head was also a wig as well.
-Sakurai-sensei ditches her work and lets God take care of everything for her.
-The parakeet is...a robot?
-Sakamoto tries his best to be a parent figure to the two of them. The problem with this is that no matter how hard he tries, he can never fend off his cat instincts. He tries his best to resist the embarrassment of playing with the cattail. He even starts playing with an eraser, to which Hakase sees this. When the fly buzzes around him, he could not resist any longer and starts chasing after it. Not only that, he jumps onto Hakase because he wants to play with the cattail, but ends up hurting Hakase instead.
-Sakurai-sensei needs to open her eyes when jump-roping.
-Nakanoko tries to finds ways he can make people stop misinterpreting him because of his hair. The problem is that when he does, his mother would react to it because she thinks another child is living in this household other than her own.
-Those two characters from the Go and Soccer club are not really the best of duo's. It could be that she finds the things that he does to be odd, or it could be that he has sincere feelings for him and just not expressing it enough.
-Mai and Yukko have their girl talk. Yuuko attempts to make a joke from Mai, but Mai retaliates with a joke of her own, which Yukko did not catch. Mai is actually in love with Yukko in that way, and Yukko starts to become all confused. Yukko tries her best to answer her politely with reason. The minute said that she was supposed to retaliate, a slew of words were said by Yuuko until she was knocked out. Mai really makes a great actress, but finding out when to say a joke from her might be hard. It is hard to figure out when a serious person is joking, from Yukko's perspective. Keep trying, Yukko.

Currently, Nichijou is the most disappointing animation of the season according to the survey actually, that was the case for me. If it was about 'the most satisfying' list, it will be much less important, but opposite kind of list tends to take much more general.

This is a studio I usually like, so I have strong expectations for it and am always ready to ride the crazy hype train that always appears and laugh when detractors come in to this studio's shows and get flamed by the pious fans but this show itself is nothing more than amusing to me even though the general trend is that it should be hilarious so now I am fearful of retribution by said fans that I once was on the same side of.

Interesting that so many found this episode weak. It was my favourite episode thus far.

I knew it was too good to be true!!!, yet I had to hope for it anyways

. Yuuko and Mai have been a constantly enjoyable part of the show so far for me.

Though the beginning part with the School Counselor was pretty funny this time too and I laughed at her part of the jump rope thing.

While the prof./Nano/Sakamoto are more hit and miss to me.

It's not an anime for everyone. I for one love the formatting of the show and the surreal humor, it's very unique and entertaining to sit back and watch after a day of doing w/e. Of course, I can understand why some people would find it boring, since it's not in your face comedy, slapstick, or deadpan, which is what most people enjoy (myself included).

Meh, either way, it looks like it'll at least sale around 6-8k BD/DVD if it doesn't pick up steam soon based off the rankings (it was just registered). Not a failure normally, but for KyoAni it'll be the first time they didn't produce a hit since FMP: The Second Raid.

I don't know about the subs but I think the actual line was a reference to a serve from the Prince of Tennis called "Super Ultra Great Delicious Daisharin Yama Arashi"

Peanutbutter Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2007	Spoiler for Ep 4: God, Mai-chan is such a goddamn troll. And Mio's not even part of this episode. I'm on the other side though. I like everything else except Yuuko and Mai, cause the trolling gets tired after awhile. Gundere and Sasahara were gold. Nano/Hakas/Sakamoto were eye-catching once again and the random bits and parts were great.

I for one love the formatting of the show and the surreal humor, it's very unique and entertaining to sit back and watch after a day of doing w/e.
