I admitted that I downloaded, but I also stated that I have also purchased all of the programs that I downloaded...I'm sure PeaPri is quite happy with the well over $400 that I've sent to them for the products I've purchased, same with G-C. Of course, I also stated that the games I didn't like, I turned around and sold them at various other places...so it's not like I'm at a loss.

That wasn't the case and your response was nothing more than a cliche attempt to single me out. I only wanted and pointed out noone else in this thread is 'better' than me when it comes to downloading. I think this offtopic discussion reached its end.

What you see is a doujin image for my avatar, which according to the Fair Use law, is completely legal...thank you, please drive through. Please make sure you understand what copyright infringement is before you go tossing it around.

What I said was the truth, and I don't believe there was anyone saying that they were better...only that validating your stealing is just making an excuse. It's pretty clear cut to everyone but you.

What I don't understand is why are you continuing this ridiculous confrontation: none of you will ever agree with the other anyway, so you're just making argument for no real reason
Anyway, to go back on topic (well kinda, but more than this discussion anyway), I just got my hands on くれいどるそんぐ
Quite a cute game IMO

I just bought Hourglass of Summer for $30. Well, this isn't exactly an ero-game but the story is really awesome. Actually bishoujo games can really work even if they leave all the hentai stuff out the window. This game is full proof of this. Too bad I've seen the first episode of the OVA, so it kind of spoiled the story a little bit.

This next game I'm thinking of buying is an ero-game. It's called Hitomi - Stepsister. Has anyone ever played this? I know the title sounds really perverted but you can't judge a book by its cover as I found out with Private Nurse.

I'm actually anti-Hentai, I just dropped by because this topic grabbed my attention. And I never really knew this much people bought hentai games.

As I told someone else in this thread, try playing either kana: imoto or crescendo. You may find that you change your mind about these games. Personally I wouldn't touch a hentai anime, but many of the games actually have good plots. Now this isn't to say all ero-games have plots. There are also a lot of them that the plot is basicly an excuse for having sex. There are also quite a few that fall somewhere in between. I never thought I'd buy any of these games either, but then I played kana...

BTW, may I ask where you got your av? I've been looking for SO3 icons with little luck.

Alot of us here were Anti-Hentai including me. But we changed our ways when we found out that there are "Hentai" games that are more then just sex. Theres also PLOT involved in them like Kamui said. Everyone has their own title that changed their views(Mine was Doukyuusei 2) but I think Kana-little sister and Crescendo are the games that converted alot of people. Oh and HENTAI ANIME SUCKS!!

Just like it took over twenty years for the notion of "anime are not only kids stuff" outside of Japan, it'll take another five to ten years for the notion of "many ero-games have high-quality story" to develop.

Perhaps you (non-generic usage of 'you') should give at least "Kana~Imouto~" a try. I assume you were one of those people who looked down upon anime before you got into it anyway. If you already changed your view on anime, then give some ero-games a try.

[side note aside]

"Kana~Imouto~" is a heart-warming story that provokes you to become a bone marrow donor, but I prefer "Kazoku Keikaku~Kizuna Bako~" from the same softhouse if you are looking for a very touching story on what makes a family bond special.

Too much romance stuffs out there.

There's a need for more realistic releases exploring modern day dysfunctional human interaction without letting romance get in the way.....

Something like 天使いないの十二月 (Tenshi Innai No Jyuuni Gatsu) which is currently my No. 1 fave ero game. Too bad people didn't take this release too well, guess it remains them how sucky their life are.

"When I find the guy who invented Hentai, I shall destroy him with the power of truth, justice, and a dragon!!!! "

I'm not sure why so many people have the idea that anime is awesome, but if it contains adult content then it's automatically horrible. I've even heard people complain about doujinshi saying that it's a slap in the face of the creator, when in fact creating a parody doujinshi is considered to be a big form of admiration, along with cosplay. Do you ever consider the fact that the mangaka who create your favorite stories probably enjoy ero anime? Do you ever consider that some of the same seiyuu who preform in your favorite anime also have roles in ero anime? It's up to the individual to watch the anime that s/he enjoys most. It's not a problem to not like ero anime and games, but keep in mind that they are a legitimate part of the anime pop-culture world.

They're usually extremist Christianist (Christianist can be both Protestant or Catholic, not like some idiots may think), because they think anything involving sex is 'impure'.
Good thing for them they didn't notice that the Japanese games are making more and more H-games involving at least one Loli :P Well actually some did

I'm anti-hentai as well but I'd try out those games mentioned above if I could read Japanese. I've played a flash game called sim girl which just makes fun of hentai games and it was really funny cause its just about a guy going around cussing and try to get on a high school chick.

That and touting medical achievements such as stem cell research as "unethical," regarding evolution as "only a theory and not a fact," and abortion as "murder."

From a Japanese (and most Asians, I assume) standpoint, I think it is Christian ethics that is hindering human advancement in medicine, science, and social ethics.

Is it then perhaps that the reason I was raised under minimal Christian ethics and values I see no impurity of the physical act of love-making between two couples? Many non-Japanese bark at "Japan is such a sex-crazed nation...look at all those love hotels, etc. etc." However, in our eyes, we view you somewhat like "children who are so brainwashed that sex is so bad," and "ewww! sex! cooties!!"

Once again, I ask....what the heck is so wrong about "sex?" What precisely is the Christian ethical standard that causes such stigmatism for sex in the first place? How so is it so wrong to do a physical act of love-making for pleasure because we are only supposed to have sexual intercourse for the sole purpose of bestowing an offspring? That is basically saying something like "you aren't supposed to do regular exercises for your own pleasure and well-being because we are originally created with motion for hunting." (bad example, I know).

Crescendo and Kana - Little Sister are both available in English, two of the few games in English that offers something other than just constant sex. Which is one of the reasons so many people mention those games; there are many more like them (and better than them) in Japan, but very few here have the Japanese skills needed to properly enjoy such story-driven games. I know I don't...

If envy is a sin, I'm surely going to end up in hell when I die...

*Edit*
In the 5 minutes it took me to whine and moan, DingoEnderZOE2 already posted what I originally intended to say.

Beats me... and I'm a Christian. But then again, Norway, despite the fact that it's illegal to sell uncensored pornography here (but you can import for your own consumption), is very open when it comes to sexual matters. I think it's more a question of which country you live in rather than the religion you follow. American Christians are some of the worlds most fanatic people (yes I know, not all of them).

Or maybe I'm just a "bad" Christian

You're more like a reasonable one.
Usually in USA, Christians are almost fanatists and it's even easier for me to view it since I live in a non religious country (where there is no longer any link between religion and politics, not like in US).

Most hentai games (the Japanese ones) have a demo version for you to check if you like it

Also, I've tryed the 麻雀くれいどるそんぐ game which is related to くれいどるそんぐ and it's an interesting mini game
