The fight choreography and detail have really improved this second chapter, starting with Asem grabbing that severed Dorado hand in the 16th.
And still improving: I like the split second scene when Zeheart decided to dodge the first hyper dods round instead of blocking it and when Asem shut's off Woolf's comm screen during the chase.

^Yes, Actually Zeydra's kick is more like an Inazuma Kick than the one from Kamen Rider.
The Rider Kick is a flying attack that usually travels in a straight horizontal line. Inazuma Kick is a descending attack that comes diagonally from above. In terms of choerography, Zeydram's kick resembled the latter more. Aside from being a reference to the original mecha kick done by Char. |

I think stuff like this is what we expected from the beginning. This episode was definitely a 9/10, perhaps even 10/10. The animation was great, the BGM was fantastic.
this episode was a huge ode to UC, but htey took it even further, making the mask actually increase performance, but it seems like Zeheart just likes it and will use it for cosmetic reasons because he didnt take it off after getting back from the sortie.

Certainly, for me, this was the best episode of the series so far. The battles look fantastic, with good animation quality throughout, and it's nice to see that, especially for a TV series (which usually has alot of battles in it anyway).
I can see the producers tried to emulate that epic Sinanju showing in Episode II of Unicorn, and they did a great job of it overall, even taking into account the standard "Char-ities" (three times faster, red mobile suit, awesome looking mask).

Is it just me or does Decil look like a wreck? Like spending too much time plotting his revenge and not doing anything else. So he's Zeheart's brother. Well he failed to take out the gundam so giving his younger brother a chance to prove himself is ok with me. Though maybe Decil will pull another move and kill somebody.
Zeheart is defiantly better than Asemu, but he still considers him a friend and couldn't take him out twice. Wonder how Asemu will get stronger. Maybe he'll activate some x-rounder abilities as well.

Zeheart is a better pilot, likely down to his X-Rounder abilities, so for Asemu to compete, it's probable he would develop his own skills as an X-Rounder. Maybe he will convene with his father who will give him some information. Do we know whether Asemu even knows what an X-Rounder is?

Right now Asemu is at a serious disadvantage not being an X-Rounder....at least not yet. The AGE system can only upgrade the Gundam so much against something like that. Still Zeheart is playing with fire letting Asemu go too many times. Will make the Gundam evolve right past his unit. Of course not being able to kill his friend isn't that shocking. Still he gets on Asemu for it, but not like he can deliver the finishing blow either.
Desil looks terrible. Guess getting owned by Flit has really screwed him up. Too bad he's not likely to get a rematch with Flit in a commander position. Preferred him as a kid though, less comical. I'm more interested though in the preview. Looks like there will be some Gundams getting busted up.

Like many others have said, this was an epic episode. AGE 2 vs Zeydra was really awesome. If all the fight scenes are like this, I can definitely put up with the lack of details during these fight scenes.
I really like Zeheart's character. He's obviously trying to make Asemu gives up in order not to face him in the battlefield. But there are limits to what he can do. Obviously Asemu will not give up and will only come back stronger, and with his brother Desil putting the pressure, it will be iinteresting to see the next time Asemu and Zeheart crash. Despite being in his 30s, Desil is still a brat... And I think AGE-2 blowing up in the episode preview is a simulation battle.

Well, Asemu getting stronger we can take for granted, it will happen, however it will be interesting how they go about doing that.
So far Asemu has no reason for fighting whatsoever. he's in the Gundam because Flit gave him the key, but other than that he has no personal stake on the war with the Veigans. I think he needs to lose something in order to gain that power up to be able to stand up to Zeheart. I wouldn't be surprised if Desil ends up killing Flit and that's what sends Asemu over the edge, killing Desil and thus forcing a Kira-vs-Athrun-like showdown.

How many ways can the Vegan piloting suit ruin the Masked man's look? A bit, a bit...Although the reasoning behind the mask was one of the best explanations to give a character a mask in quite some time (Psycho Frame Mardi Gras^^)...Thought the part about having to wear it "as not to drop performance" was little heavy...
But damn this episode was amazing in alot of ways...Been preaching it as long as I can remember, but they finally put together the first amazing, well choreographed 1 vs. 1 battle in this entire series...Their were atleast 3 different animation styles that captured each stage of the battle, with the close quarters fighting having the coolest renderings that looked almost Gurren-Lagann-esque in color movement... The new Zeydra suit was as visually satisfying as it was l33t in performance...The Vegan's usage of beam-saber weaponry continues to kill...I was loving the beam pistol (First in how it can be gripped and wielded) and how it could shoot off the actual saber glow right at you then recharge it ...But I think the coolest part of the fight was Zeaheart Graham Akering Age's saber, then instead of using it, just glomping it back at the Gundam xD... The episode loses a couple points for the utter silliness of the Vegan's just figuring out TODAY after 25 years that the AGE system exceeds their predictions and that the Feddies can't analyze it, since I guess Flit is the only mecha invention specialist in all of the galaxy...It's like continuing to eat dry breakfast biscuits when you got I-HOP's menu in your back pocket...Where's Guin Lineford (Turn A) when you need him?!? That aside, aslong as AGE can expand this level of action I will continue to ignore it's other problems and champion the level of pure delight I witnessed today... 8/10...Just like Desil's Ab-routine...

Just wanted to add that I was watching the NBA Allstar game before I watched this and I can't imagine Kobe not killing Shaq in Zeheart's position^^...

Today was the first episode in a while where they even discussed the AGE-system analytically...It would be great if future episodes focus on this alone and how that will bridge the gap and not Awsem getting soopa-powaas...
