no. Tenpa Jyousai is the only thing that can stop snake,
remember that snake merged with yuji because they shared a common goal.
one of them is that the only one on par with snake was alastor and to use alastor's powers the kings needed shana. that is one reason why snake came to take her away - so that she can't use Tenpa Jyousai .

Reading these spoilers, does anyone else think that the way Yuji is acting seems slightly out of character? I'm aware that he claims he's Sakai Yuji and in complete control, but he clearly doesn't seem to be himself.

Maybe I'm just trying to be optimistic, you know, wanting a happy ending and all. >:/

no he claims that he is the sof yuji, so the two of them synchronized or fused.
he is changing character during the whole thing. sometime he behave like yuji and other times like snake

If that's the case, then I can still hold out hope that Yuji will become himself again. Sure, it's not guaranteed, but part of the fun of getting into a story is not knowing what'll happen next, right?

Spoiler for possible ending?:

SnH loses the power of his anti-flame ring one way or another; tenpa jyousai is used.

• Good ending: we already know shana can use tenpa jyousai without combusting herself. SnH is defeated, Yuji is spared due to strong will, and/or a strong bond / current physical contact with Shana.
• Bad ending: Shana, already hurt from fighting or maybe emotionally / mentally, uses tenpa jyousai.. doesn't survive. SnH Sakai Yuji doesn't either. The cast reminisce. Game over. Queue crying.
• Alternative and more detailed either-or ending: Shana uses Tenpa Jyousai to defeat SnH, but after the battle no longer has enough PoE to sustain the fuzetsu let alone repair the damage dealt. With the fuzetsu about to crack, Yuji uses the power of the Reiji Maigo for.. something. Repairs the damage. The two survive, or the two die. Anything goes at this point

I'm calling this out as a prediction. xD even though I think it's fairly obvious where this is probably heading if the novels do end very soon.

edit: for some weird reason it felt like someone already posted a similar prediction, and yeah, minhtam did. well, doesn't matter. mine is a bit more generalized, and better. xD jk

After reading the spoilers for Novel 16, my predictions still stand as it is:

Cut to the scene where she tells the little boy/girl the story of Yuji and Shana before she tucks the child to bed.

7. For a fleeting moment, Kazumi thought she saw Yuji and Shana smiling at the young child...

Except now, I'm editing a few things:

I have four questions related to this.

1. A friend of mine mentioned in the first translated novel of a "Coffin Weaver", who was apparently an extremely powerful Guze no Ou. Was this another name for Sairei no Hebi? I was under the impression SnH was far stronger than Alastor.
2. If Sairei no Hebi is comparable to a "God of Creation" as a Guze no Ou, who fits the other profiles, like destruction, wisdom etc.
3. Cannot the snake also use Tenpa Jyousai to incarnate himself in the real world through Yuuji, much like how Alastor can through Shana? Unlike a human, Yuuji isn't alive in the traditional sense and damage to his body can be easily repaired with Power of Existence.
4. Is Yuuji's Torch flame still visible? If so, is it black now, or is the black flame en-circling Sairei no Hebi Sakai Yuuji?

2.there are only two gods confirmed. alastor(god of judgement) and snake
3.when i said only alastor can stop snake i am assuming all the Guze no Ou are in their incarnated state. alastor is the god of judgement so he judges all. no one can escape him not even snake.
4. i dont know about his torch flame, but as he has been forgotten by everyone i would assume his torch burned out, or has became something else. black flame is simply the signature of snake just like how alastor has red flame

ok so here's some things that i have understood so far:

1) alastor's previous flame haze (mathilde was it?) died when she used tenpa jyousai against SnH. this means that the war before would be repeating itself again. it is unknown however if SnH had a 'host' back then similar to yuji

2) yuji must have wished long ago for a world where tomogara and humans coexist peacefully, a world where flame hazes are not anymore needed

3) all the other kings of guze tried to stop SnH when he tried to delve into the unknown by changing the balance of the world. what is the deal if the balance is lost? it seems that no one knows what would happen, everyone seems to be acting based on their own theories of possible outcome of change. bottom line, SnH wants change while the rest says no

4) the kidnapping of shana and the purge of other flame hazes. it seems that SnH has prepared for his revenge indeed. maybe back then, he was defeated because of his lack of preparation and he underestimated everyone some of the lords. now, with shana out of commission, tenpa jyousai cant be used. also, the sudden order of culling flame hazes definitely caught everyone off guard. from this i could assume that the final battle between bal masque and the remaining flame hazes would occur on the next volumes and the focal point of this war would be yuji's city

and i do hope there would be a SNS III
