The manga is about a student who goes to a school where every other student has some type of weapon but he has a shield. At the end someone important of the manga chapter someone decides to get into the school they have to fight the student sitting next to them. He has to fight some girl he was getting along with who has a strong weapon but hes worried because he only has a shield
By the way their weapon is like determined by dna or blood and it s kinda like magic

That should be Absolute Duo, the first volume of the light novel was translated by @Riki in Bakatsuki.
