Author suffered a bit of health problems, and no announcement of Chaika 7 has yet been made so far. Kind of depressing, hopefully Ichiro-sensei's condition picks up for the best.

By "unparalleled power", I'm guessing Dominica has gotten one of the Emperor's body parts. Looking at her present state and mental health though, she most likely isn't go to hand it over nicely.

But she had that before she left for war, besides I don't that's even a dragon but rather some bird-lizard hybrid (it has a beak). It's more likely she obtain a Grand like that Duke in the earlier arc. Plus this would connect Dominca's story to Chika's.

But in her flash back, after she said "I'll get power even if I have to..." it showed the dragon. I figured that she needed some kind of pact to control it and it ate at her life or something. Unless the dragon is controlled by the Grand....

Though if I'm wrong, that'd be great, since it'd mean dragons are a regular cavalry unit and therefore more likely to appear often. I love dragons.

Anyone feel that these chapters are a lot shorter lately? Not much seems to happen in them compared to earlier ones and that's pretty bad for month series.

It looks like the gang's pursers have caught up to them really quickly and more or less locked down towns and roads. Chaika's benefactor is clearly no one trustworthy, but Toru is in a situation where following the uncertainly is far better than dealing with the certainty of the alternative; in death in this case.

it is expected, you can't have fights every chapter. Setup chapter between arcs are normal.

i do agree the recent chapter has been kinda short compare to early chapters.

Yeah, but it just feels like they are more transition chapters than usual. This and ch 15 could have been one chapter and ended up being more satisfying imo.

Meh, as someone working on the series, I felt that they were on a decline with fillers with little relevance to the plot at this moment (if ever). Maybe it's just me being biased while working on them.

I'm taking some time off scanlation this summer due to RL stuff and can finally enjoy the mangas I work on xD
