(L) Cage of Eden

I can see it being a facility, but wouldn't that make the title of the manga be a dead giveaway?

Well the story hasn't progressed that far yet. And i love how ambigious the title would be.
Eden has several meanings in this case - A biblical one, the garden of surpreme divineness, where humans could live in peace, but the second noun "cage" implys that it's also a dead-end for those, who inhabit the place, cuz they can't get out. Kind of controversial to the bible, where the humans were banned - here Humans can't get out, whereas in the bible they didn't want to get out.
On the other hand Eden could mean the Garden of a mad megallomanic scientist, who wants to watch his "creation", where the Humans aren't free, but "caged in".

You have to remember: Adam and Eve left Eden.

This uncharted island is Eden in the way that it's nature in its rawest form without any interference or corruption from man-made civilization.

well the next 30+ chapter is pretty much the same thing. Although a couple of new characters will be introduce. It won't be till c85 that the we get more of the mystery of the island.

So anyway. Long story short. Some got out of their hallucination which was cause by the food they ate which was trigger when they went up the mountain. They climb up the top of mountain and find out their not on island but a continent. The loli got saved and everyone when down to the river where Yarai and sensei is, where he now has his own Harem! Except for this Segawa girl who's mad at him for some reason. And Yarai to the rescue!

The one animal that is even remotely close physically form that period is the giant sloth. And as far I know giant sloths don't jump that far or even move that fast.
