I want Horizon S3 so I'd have to say I'm against them picking up something like this which will likely be a long-term commitment. They would probably do a good job though.

inb4 Gonzo or Manglobe are announced. :-(

Thankfully this lends itself very well to fillers.

Since the official announcment for the anime was supposed to come tommorow I checked to see if the website for the anime's URL worked and while I got an error, an Aniplex logo showed up...dammit.

*Excuse me while I scream towards the heavens in rage* WHHHHHHYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

EDIT: The logo/error page disappeared when I refreshed the page...maybe it was an unintentional leak or just some weird error

Because Baccano, Fate/Zero, Bakemonogatari, FMA, KnK, Anohana, Gintama, Gurren Lagann, Madoka, Read or Die, RK Memories OVA, Toward the Terra, Space Brothers and tsuritama are awful shows and Nisekoi will turn out just like them.

Clearly.

Or he's just worried about the chances of A-1 adapting this show since they're owned by Aniplex and are increasingly taking bigger responsibility instead of them farming out shows to others, see OreMo s2 going to them instead of AIC. He's worried about a shit adapation from them because of SAO or Magi or whatever, of course people ignore the good ones they've done... I already went through in the Silver Spoon thread.

Quote:
So to surmise.

Well done adaptions

Kannagi, SSY, Space Brothers, Big Windup 1 + 2

Poor

Magi, Fairy Tail, SAO, Black Butler 1+2 (unlike big windup fans I saw a lot of pissed off fans for this one)

50/50 split

Staff matters, the director did shit with SAO but he also worked with Hosada on Tokikake as the assistant director, the writer put out the equivalent of a rookie of the year season with Bunny Drop, lets see if he can beat the sophomore slump.
If they knock out Silver Spoon and Nisekoi (assuming they get it) their "good adaption" record goes 7-5.

Lets wait to see what staff gets this first, it matters, as does Jumps strategy for how they want this to air.

I'm actually fine with A-1 picking it up. It's not action-oriented anyway... (Which they'll likely mess up)
Hoping it gets a nice staff though.

@Westlo

You forgot the "this means there's a chance aniplex usa licenses this and the BDs will be really expensive"

I can understand that one, though aniplex usa licensing an aniplex title is hardly an automatic thing so I think those reactions are overboard and I don't live in the US so I don't give a damn

Oh wait, just checked and looks like the site is permanently up.
Anyone knows what that "2013.6.4 RELEASE" means?

That's just advertising the 7th volume of the manga, which goes on sale tomorrow.
edit: also the first volume of the light novel short story collection.

When did people start hating on A-1? A few years ago they were pretty much the gold standard. And the always do SoL romcoms like this well imo.

Anyway, with Aniplex on it I guess that rules out J.C.Staff.

And what makes you think that if aniplex is responsible for the original show?

Because really, I don't like paying double to triple the price of what other companies sell their Blurays for.

While I wouldn't bet on it, Aniplex X JC staff does happen sometimes, see kimi to boku as an example.

JCStaff loves romcoms with tsunderes (and if the love interests aren't tsun, make them!). Faithful or not, this something they do quite often.

But no... please keep Okada away. I don't need any soapbox drama

But but but, from what I've read (yeah I normally don't read manga but I just couldn't resist this) Nisekoi hinges on so called 'soapbox drama'. Not nearly as heavy as say, Kimi no Iru Machi, but there's a reason why my friends describe this as Oreshura meets Love Hina... and Okada has done a number of those already. XD

Why are you afraid? There is no drama in manga.
