I reckon it would look bad - plus, would it even attach to Exia? I mean... it has 3 holes (seen here : http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/image/10095809n2/40/2) and I'm sure that wouldn't go on Exia.

I got my HG Reborns today, but rather than rush to put it together I plan to try and actually paint this one. (It'll be the first gunpla Ill have tried to do more than put stickers and some Gundam Marker lines on.)

Once I'm underway, I'll post my humble efforts up.

is there any colour discrepancy with the 144 gaddess that was made and the MS in the anime it self? i know it is turquoise but the model itself seems to be a tad on the green side where as the one in the anime seems to be a bit more on the blue side.

one question of curiousity: the 1/144 blitsgundam i bought 3-5 years ago isnt really poseable. the arms and leges are 2solid sections without any elbows to speak of. did they re-release the 144 scale for it with more polycaps for maneuverablity or is it still relatively static?

It might be the light, but from what I can tell when comparing the model to the stills fro mthe anime printed in the manual, they look close enough.

thanks, thats true the colour guide is 99% accurate to the molded pieces. the lighting can be deceptive at times, it does bother me a bit but i wont try to give it more of a blue hue.

Hey, I'm interested in giving a shot at building a model - where's a good place to start? I don't think I'll have much access to tools or paint; would the HG 1/144 Gundam 00 ones be managable for a beginner? Help!

HG Gundam 00 is nice. You can start with MG's if you want, but if you want to paint, panel line, etc, then HG 00 is a good start I'd say.

You could wait a bit, and get the 00 Raiser with the GN Sword III.

Alternatively, the Exia R2 is a very fine little kit, and already available...

Spoiler for arios:
Wow! Thats some amazing paintwork! Really inspirational! Btw, did you spray a layer of topcoat first before you place on the decals? Is that how you make them look so good?

While it's not really Gundam, I thought this was worth mentioning:

Master Grade Figurerise 1/8 Son Goku, December release 3,675 yen:

You know that them making MG Gundam Girls is now inevitable after this

You could always use a soldering iron to weld the two pieces together. That would probably work better than just an adhesive.

The 00 HG's are fantastic to start with. They're a big improvement over some of the models from years ago. I remember my first model was the Tallgeese III from Endless Waltz. Whew- what a tough time I had figuring that out. The simplest designs are the best to start out with. The AEU Enact from 00 is pretty easy. I'd recommend one of them as a first.
