Well, that can't be! I'm sure she just went abroad for her work, say, to Canada or something (pun intended). (who knows? that might actually be the case)

I wonder if it's going to be like Tamayura?

Yes indeed, it's one of those rare slice of life shows done right.

Well, I wouldn't say rare... but I agree that the way the themes are presented and the general atmosphere are something KyoAni can easily excel at doing.

My mind immediately jumped there because the premise vaguely reminds me of Tamayura (it's the MC's father who is dead there). But you're right, she could just be working abroad.

If this is anything like Tamayura then I will be extra happy ... but for me at least one of the things that makes really makes a series marked as slice of life really jump out as slice of life is if the ambiance, atmosphere, etc. of the series becomes so powerful and all-pervasive as to almost become a character in itself. I love series like that, and for me Tamayura does it well.

The Tamako Market official Twitter posted a picture of Horiguchi working on the character designs. Nothing exciting, just some pajamas for Tamako and Anko.

Nothing exiting? hmm ... that's kinda offending, I'd sell my house to see a loli in pajama.

Lol, I didn't mean it that way. To be honest though, I would've really liked to see Tamako with her hair down. What a shame.

ah ok, my bad.
Anyway, I was also surprised when I saw that ... but I'm mostly depressed that that thing's hiding parts of their body. (TwT)

Because it is friendly?

Seriously though, afair in the series description the bird is a talking bird and is the catalyst for the story's events to begin.
