I believe the new anime will be a re-boot, that's me.

Anyways, since I haven't read the manga or watched the first season, it'll be a good experience for myself to check it out how they'll be handling the story.

Anyone here importing the Rozen Maiden Bluray Boxes? Are these remastered/can we expect better video quality from these, as compared to the R2 DVDs?

The only anime that was actually re-made for HD (outside of silly hybrid hackjob that was Gundam Seed) is Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. Reshooting in HD is a costly and tedious project, so unless there's proof to the contrary, assume it's an upscale. So far there's none.

I don't think the art is that bad and it looks closer to the manga too.

I'm in agreement, and seeing as how the likelihood of a third season has been pretty low for the past seven or so years now, I'm not complaining.

yep, its a reboot. i'm slightly disappointed but at least Barasuishou was shown, that's something to look forward to.

The ED for the new series will be by Annabel. Still, her music is of a similar kind to kukui, so it should fit well enough.

Well, most of Annabel's solo music is composed and produced by myu who was behind kukui with Shimotsuki. We'll see how this one turns out.

Since I imagine that ALI PROJECT will do the OP, all you need is Shinku with an eye patch and a scene with Jun and Shinku dancing, and the Another comparisons could be complete.

Although I imagine that this Rozen Maiden will be better than Another wound up being. If only DEEN doesn't screw up the art.

Huh? Why would you compare Rozen Maiden to Another at all? Not to mention because of ALI PROJECT...

O/T: The only disappointing things about Another to me were the random slasher action finale (but I can forgive that) and only 30 minutes of the OST being released on CD (this I cannot forgive).

Laplace's Demon is now voiced by "Satoshi Mikami" instead of "Kyousei Tsukui".
Saitou-san is voiced by Natsumi Takamori.
His colleague in work is voiced by "Shou Sudou".

The story also suggests the anime is based on the second manga.
