Finally watched it. Very fun episode. I wonder if anyone has tried to draw Zetsubou-sensei like the characters did in this OVA and Zoku episode 7. Personally, I think Jun's drawing is the best.

Hehe, even if somewhat unintentionally Nozomu gets some character developtment! (Does anyone seem his resemblence to Yozo from No Longer Human, I'm sure that if he was ever to die (and not revive XD), their remarks would be the same "He was an angel.") I really can't wait for the second one.

Well his resemblance to Yozo is semi-intentional. Funny how the one time a noose appears in No Longer Human is only when Yozo was contemplating suicide. Just once and that's it.

WWII! It's a reference to several books by Dazai (Including No Longer Human and Setting Sun) the decline of Japanese culture and traditional pride has like the show said, lost its original meaning.

Worth noting that, for GG but also usable with volans, I've been noting all the signs and references I (or the Japanese viewers I track) catch at http://ggkthx.org/notes/gszs/ . While the text is there in Volans, an incredible effort, I'm presuming it still doesn't explain which Japanese author showed off her breast implants, or which comic Seiko's watch division sponsored, or which Buddhist cult is the key to the LDP's current majority; this notes project predates the idea of a GG sub, too, so hopefully it'll be useful for everyone.
