No wires

There's electronic circuit inside to 'read' muscle movement and sync with nerve system, but otherwise, no wires.

I think they HAVE several ports to be connected with external hardware, using cables at that, such as when Char transfer her energy to Ichika, or when ByakuShiki first rolled out.

I.S. are self-repair/self-maintain unit.

All you have to do is to adjust the programs

BTW, apparently the self-maintain nature of I.S. is not perfect. Therefore, human operator still needed in case of such errors being found. Hence I said adjustment

As for Kanzashi's problem, it was core compatibility. Probably something beyond her knowledge at that time.

How so? She didn't try to make it shoot pie or anything.

I think because Uchigane is a melee-type frame.

What she did was basically like taking the Rafael Revive and expending all the bus slots on a One-off Ability.

One-offs are gamebreaker attacks. If Kanzashi succeeded, then she would have been able to pull off finishing moves one after another. Imagine Ichika with infinite Reikaru Byakuya.

Well, I personally assume almost all OOA are energy-hogging (Reiryaku Byakuya is), with the exception of Kenran Butou.

Can't be really sure though, we only have one example of OOA that do just that.

I guess.

The only new thing is the multi-lock. The others seem to indicate booster controls, energy reroute systems and shield settings.

Ucigane is a machine built with stability in mind so I understand trouble from having trouble reconfiguring the balance ratio. the last two seem like standard operating systems. If so then that means she still hasn't reached 1st shift yet.

I haven't read V7 completely, I get two so far

1. Core compatibility, that would be a shame for a personal unit owner...

2. Maladjustment as stated above, new hardware => need for new software and MORE adjustment, which she can't solve by herself.

I've yet to find what box talking about.

She need software for beam cannon (which she get from Ichika, who get it from Tate), also, she transformed a defensive unit into a high-maneuver unit (again, per Box claim)

Speaking entirely in my capacity as a guy who daydreams about robots way too much. The uchigane's whole structure was already made for balance. Stripping it down and sticking on launchers all willy nilly will definitely cause problems. I find it odd that there isn't an onboard firing sytem to modify or that she'd accept it from Ichika and not from anyone else

Uchigane Nishiki is certainly excellent, it's main role is not front attacker, but a support/bombardment unit. Assload of missile launchers + 2 big effin beam cannon, WHO'S THE BOSS?!

Well, in my fanon it's slightly justified that Uchigane frame is optimized for surface mobility (Like Schwarzer Regen). Houki can get away with stripping down because she didn't use it for air jousting anyway, meanwhile, Madoka try to put booster backpack on Kurogane to fly and... well...
