Oh excellent :P I didn't see that post, I'm trying to read the forums as little as possible to avoid any spoilers. Often I just squint my eyes and look at the avatars to see if there's any updates :P

Did you in Ars Magica ever fix the patch problem with Eva-Beatrice (with Student eva sprite)?? I think I'd email you about that... I haven't seen any announcement if that bug been fix or not.

Also... you guys really have to be careful of letting Text overflow in the screen (not to mention the dot/periods problems)... also the profile of certain characters are dirtied/black, if you get what I mean...

anyway After nearly five months has there been any update? I keep checking the Witch Hunt Patch update... I'd kind of interest to see if they've gotten ahead over 50%.

As for anyway vs anyways (which is the first thing that jumped out at me when I read that quote), either can be acceptable for casual conversations and dialog, but we're removing all versions of the latter in the patch because it's started annoying me too. The line mentioned was either from the demo or EP1, which we haven't gotten around to doing a re-release of lately. And thanks to Yirba for pointing out the heir issue.

Been noticing it for a while, sometimes the game lags, the text, the fade in/out transitions when opening or closing the menu screen, etc. Is this another bug? I'm running Windows 7.

Just wanted to clarify two things.
Most likely then not, no patch will come out any time soon.
However work on Umineko is being done every week again, which wasn't the case during the summer.

So no good news but maybe this will reassure some, hopefully?

It's fine, really. I don't mind the wait. All I want is a good, high-quality translation by the end of it.

Though it would be nice if the patch could be out before we finish our translation of Higanbana.

Sorry to bug you again, just wondering if you're able to say if the patch will be released before the end of the year? Really eager to play Episode 8. Think I'm gonna try and read through the PS3 version in the meantime.

We dont know, we just dont know. Its best to just relax and have it come as surprise once its launched than fret over it every day that its not released.

You should probably try and learn Japanese in the meantime.
And you'll probably get decent in it before the full translation release.

This assumes people have a lot of free time, and that they are good at learning new languages... unrealistic assumptions are unrealistic.

this is such an uninformed post. you will not be decent in Japanese in a few months nor a few years. I would say it would take someone at least 5 years to be proficient in the language and at least 10 to be native-like. this is just my opinion, but I am a bilingual speaker of Japanese and English and I can tell you for a fact people don't just start speaking languages overnight.
