Spoiler for ???? transcript:
As it turns out, the actual text for all the parts shown in the game as pictures is in the script. Even the riddles. Being able to copy and paste into a dictionary really helped with that part. |

I still maintain he just made a mistake. You can attempt to justify it with an explanation, but there isn't an actual answer. If he comes out and says "Oh yeah, sprite error in the script, for some reason I thought it was Rosa," we're golden on it being an error. Otherwise, no way to know what he "meant" to do. I just think forgetfulness is more likely. Kyrie and Rosa both have asides with Battler in the first few episodes and offer him similar input and advice. It'd be easy to mix the two up if one hadn't gone back and reviewed the scene. Of course, why he wouldn't do that first, or why someone testing the VN wouldn't, I can't say.

What I wonder is what prevented them from simply making a copy and paste of the old code.
At any rate that very same episode had a Hideyoshi hilariously showing up after he was killed earlier...... then again that was confirmed as being an error and was fixed... unlike Rosa... so who knows...

Then that means they remade the code anyway.

That's probably true. I guess the point I was trying to make before I lost track of it was that since it's just a screenshot anyway, why recreate anything at all? The earlier scene still exists, they could have easily just taken the screenshot from there directly. If they had been recreating the scene on the fly in the script I could see there being opportunity for error, but the fact that it's a screenshot makes it seem more like it was an intentional change, for whatever reason.

You don't really need too much drama, just enough to spice things up. As for characterisation, there's enough for you to understand the characters. However, drama is not central in mystery novels, but the mystery itself.

Just in case it's not clear, this whole argument in the Golden Land is a feint for Battler, Lambda, and Ange to break into the library. All the characters in the Golden Land are putting up a fake prolonged argument as a show for distracting Erika, trying to also cover for Battler and Lambda's absence by pretending they are part of the argument going on.

Congrats, you just won ten tons of Energon cubes for solving the puzzle... Yes, that's right, it was just a cheesy pun on the term. I just had to make fun of it on the other thread since it sounds like a Transformer name, though I added an "s" to the end of Rokkenjima to follow the tradition (Optimus, Rodimus, etc.). Plus it tied in with the other joke theories going on at the time.
