Fight the power!
I'm looking for an anime with a plot revolving around civil disobedience, rioting, anti-government movements, or terrorism. I don't care which side of the fight it focuses on, so long as that is central to the story. I prefer contemporary/realistic settings to scifi or fantasy, but anything is okay.
I'd give an example, but I honestly can't think of one right now. Any suggestions? |

The most realistic portrayal of terrorism I have seen was probably seen in Planetes. However, I dunno if it can be considered "central" to the series. It was more the case of the main characters being caught up in acts of terrorism. Also, the show revolves around space exploration in the near future.

I've been meaning to watch Code Geass. I downloaded an ep but haven't watched it yet I'll give it a go. Yeah, I know I've seen some too, but the names elude me at the moment. Quote:

Yeah I liked Rurouni Kenshin too. The Shishio arc is sorta what I mean. |
