Yeah, the way HLJ.com does it is that they send 10 random keychains.

Can someone confirm the info here?

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Melancholy-H...6429666&sr=8-6

That looks like the DVD Special Edition, its on Amazon.co.uk and it really is what im after, but will the special edition really be released here? We dont usually get the 'special editions' of DVDs, as much as id love to have them, they dont usually come.

Also, I find it fishy there because it says region free, doesnt sound likely to me.

Can someone who knows more about it clear it up for me? (I only just saw the series, and I LOVED it, one of my all-time favs... and I gotta have the DVDs to show my support )

Given the release date, it should be the US release, so the region free and PAL description does sound fishy. Though it could be a mistake, why not contact Amazon? Also, correct me if i'm wrong, but i don't think there's been news about this series been licensed for the UK, so if it's legit, then it's just Amazon's selling the US/R1 release.

Live Event DVD

Sorry if this is a repost, but Animate have listed a 2-DVD set titled 涼宮ハルヒの激奏 Suzumiya Haruhi no Gekisō - due out 2007-07-27, Y5800+tax.

There's very little detail, and it's not on CDJapan or Amazon yet, but it appears to be a recording of the live event from March. Based on that write-up I'll be ordering this the moment Amazon list it!

EDIT: More DVD info here.

EDIT #2:
Spoiler for Promo image:

RightStuf already has the R1 Volume 2 for pre-order.

Volume 2 Regular Edition - $22.49
Volume 2 Special Edition - $44.99

The also have Mikuru's Character Song CD.

Everything above comes out July 3.

Hm, I think I'll wait a while before settling on RightStuf's price.

I just saw that they have the second DVD, along with the Yuki and Mikuru character CDs coming out on the same day. I can feel my bank account withering as July comes up.

Must not preorder right now. If I wait, they might have a sale, and I wouldn't have to cancel an order. >.<

CD Pacific (name of DVD Pacific's music site) currently does not have the CDs as far as I know.

Right Stuf has up pictures for DVD 2 and the limited edition. All I can say is that if the limited edition really comes in that box, I'll be devoting more shelf space to Haruhi than I'd thought. >.<

Hey-ho, wait a tick:

Granted, this doesn't necessarily mean that I should be able to fit all my DVD's into the box, but when I hear the words 'series artbox,' a box with art on it for the purpose of containing the series is the typical inference - especially since the second volume does not come with a 'series artbox,' even though technically it comes in a box with art from the series on it.

I'm a little weird about the fact that one series is going to end up taking the space of four on my shelf. My room is somewhat small, so shelf space is premium space. If the sub-only DVD is in the same slip case as the regular one, I can store the boxes and goodies elsewhere and just keep the DVD's out.

The good news: Amazon JP now list the Suzumiya Haruhi no Gekisou live event DVD.

The bad news: they've listed it under "Toys and Hobby", which means that they won't ship it overseas. Aaarrghh!

I wonder if they'll change the listing if enough of us politely grumble to Customer Service?

You might try to get it via nippon-export.com .... they're a third agent company that doesn't mind buying/hunting up stuff locally for you if you give them a URL to work with.

Yep, a two-hour concert preceeded by an hour and a half of skits and talk - there's a comprehensive review on hashihime, and more discussion in the VA appreciation thread.

Thanks for the pointer - I've also used Celga Shopping, but these services get pretty expensive. I'd hoped to get it through Amazon because I have a Maria-mite OVA coming at the same time, so it would have saved a bit on shipping.

But alas, it looks like the cheap option is out. Amazon mailed me back today to say that the stock category is determined by the supplier, so they're unable to change the listing
