I didn't think this series was that bad, though the ending was absolutely horrible...............

.... i wasted 6 hours of my life on this show, only thing that kept me going was that the sumire character was hot half the time then annoying the other half, judging from how dead this thread is other people seem fairly upset too.

I also was not happy with the deus ex machina resolution to the issue of Lucif, where the ghosts of Nahashi and Lilith pop out of no where and pin him down so Lucia power can actual destroy him. What? Ghosts? Where did that come from?

I don't normally have a problem with "open ended" conclusions to anime, or endings where they don't spell out every single thing, but this was just poorly done. I mean, VvV was never a great anime, but it was entertaining and could have been much better if they had not dropped the ball on the final episode.

Spoiler for Ending:

The "deus ex machina" ghosts binding Lucif: Wasnt that a ghost summoning spell done by the two dolls? And given movie history something like "we are only here to watch" wasnt exactly very believable. So they had to enter the stage sooner or later.

Not everyone is bashing it. I liked it. And I dont even think the ending was particularly disappointing.

Although there are some things I did dislike:
The spoilerish prologue.
The theoretically "epic world shattering scope" did not come across properly; it was more a struggle between a bunch of people.
Partially the visual quality was lacking.
The two main protagonists "emotional problems" were overdone.

what i really hate about this is the ending but the shoujo-ai content was good but still(the ending was horrible) atleast the make a season to to finish the horrible ending though the op and Ed them was awesome still the eding was horrible soo all i can say is dang they should have made a second season

Hi everybody-)

I’ve just ended watching the series and I wanna say that the end of VVV, even though it could have been muuuuuch better, is not so hopeless as it seems to be at the first glance.

Spoiler for last scene:

At first, the hourglass: I think, the fact that this is _Lucia’s_ hourglass and the sand shown us falling down means that Lucia herself and nobody else had turned it over. BTW, there are roses in the vase nearby, which are looking really pretty – so the bouquet is most likely Sumire’s work. So I think it all shows us pretty well that the girls are alive. And the fact that Sumire’s in unfamiliar clothes on the portrait only confirms that the photo was taken later than the final battle took place.
So I prefere to believe that they are alive and happy with each other =)) Lucia’s smiling contentedly & Sumire’s also quite cheerful so.. for me it’s a good sign -)
