YAY! A whole third season is coming! I rarely watch a series as it's coming out but I'll be waiting impatiently for every episode of this one.

*Does the Happy Dance*

Or maybe the Despair Dance is more appropriate?

The Hemp Fandango, maybe?

That's entirely of the wrong stripe, or at least the wrong state of mind. May I suggest "The Matango"?

So, you decided to take the series that takes nearly one month for every chapter to get translated?

*ignore the above comment if you know japanese

Yup. The translation time could be a pain, but it can't be helped since my grasp of Japanese is abysmal. It's not like I can't attack my pile of backlogged anime while I wait...

if a.f.i.k. is subbing this again then HELL YA.

I just recently got bit by the sensei bug, NOW IM TOTTALLY IN DESPAIR!! I love how the show evolved, I have a feeling they had a lot of anime original work in it. I was surprised at Hiroshi Kamiya's performance, excellent.

I don't think a.f.k. will sub this. No explanation, just a feeling.

I just hope we don't wind up with a Zoku SZS scenario. volans did a good job though, IMO.

I'm really starting to like Hiroshi Kamiya as a voice actor. His Natsume (from Natsume Yuujinchou) is very good too.

Aye, I hope they come back, they're translation is so rich and much more entertaining in word choice and interpretation than some of the others I read. Not to mention I always give people props when they translate credits.

As fer Kamiya's performance...yea it's "normal"

Beware, the "Zan" is the great foreshadowing of incredible character development and a shift from dark humour... to [first volume reference] the ultimate human drama! [/first volume reference]

What does "Zan" mean? All I know is is that it's not "Zen".

A full explanation:

Zan (ざん) is a play on San (さん) which is 三, 'third', in this case the kanji used (懺) indicates regret or repentance.

This follows from Zoku which can mean 続 - continuation, or 俗 - mundane.

Hmm... I'm not sure what to think. SZS was starting to grow old during the second season, and Goku didn't really do anything to make it fresh again.

If they go a new direction this time, it may be good, but I probably wouldn't watch a more-of-the-same continuation.

I can understand why you would say that.

It's like Seinfeld, at the beginning it's lauded for being totally unique and varied but after a while it creates it's own unique little formula that while still potentially entertaining is totally familiar to the audience.

The website updated with the singers for the OP/ED, and the title for at least the OP. Just as it was back in Zoku, it's Kenji Ootsuki and the group of Kafuka/Chiri/Kaere/Maria/Nami on the OP and the group of Abiru/Harumi/Kiri/Matoi on the ED.

I always like Zetsubō Shōjotachi songs. I wonder what these news songs have to offer.

Off-topic: I took a look at the cover of volume 16. Does anyone know who the featured girl is?

Er, what the hell is this song name? First season is Ero, second season is Guro, looks like the third season will be Nonsense!

The ED theme has been confirmed to be called "Zetsubou Restaurant". With a title like that, I have some idea of what to expect for ending animation ("some" - this is Shaft/Shinbo we're talking about here) and no idea what to expect for the song.

Still, I say, bring it.
