It was a really good cliff hanger and a decent ep to me. I like how the eps get a decent amount of content in them in one ep. Only downside is next ep is back story I have been waiting for this fight since ep 1 T_T.

Not a whole lot to say this week, but that was indeed Aya Hirano as young Kyousuke. Fujiko was there too. I'm so used to seeing them in their present-day forms that this flashback took a bit of adjusting to. Looks like the dolphin returns next week, too. Cutting into a two-part flashback right after what happened last week does slow the pace of the action a bit, but... we may very well view things in a different light when we return.

It was an average episode for me becuz i read the manga...but still the animation is good!
Had a wierd feeling about the voice in young Kyousuke but I guess they wanted to potray when Kyousuke was still innocent, and the the hell present Fujiko and past Fujiko are different people, more like Kyousuke and Fujiko was the opposite of each other!

Just started watching the original zkc, so some things are starting to fit together for me. Wow Kyousuke and Fujiko are really different as kids. I guess it's no wonder why Hyoubu hates Minamoto since the commander and him look alike. So two of the members are related to the are related to Akira and Hatsune, are those their parents? So Igo makes his appearance next week. We have already met Utsumi, but wonder how Hyoubu is keeping him alive. Don't know the other 4 members, though was one of them the brain of the catastrophe?

More of a build up episode but it's going pretty fast. I can barely remember anything about the other ESP soldiers since they didn't leave much if an impression. So based on what Fujiko told Andy, it looks like Kyousuke is gonna end up killing the glasses dude who keeps making totally subtle evil faces.

The producers of the series would like to inform you that any resemblance to real life is accidental.

But, look at our really well created version of 1939 Japan! Oh, and Hyoubu was probably living in Japanese-Occupied Korea.

Though, credit to the source material. "The War" has been a driving force behind certain aspects of the canon, so they were going to have to deal with it head on. Even got the inter-service disagreements pretty accurate.

To be fair, the series seems to be condemning the war by having Fujiko mock all the propaganda. I mean, it's not mentioning any atrocities or anything, but it's portraying Japan as being in the wrong for being needlessly power-hungry.

Clarste Human Join Date: Aug 2004 Age: 37	Spoiler for episode 07: I have to admit, I find it really really awkward to watch a story about Imperial Japan in WW2. Especially when the heroes are soldiers. Although I guess the writers are off-handedly condemning the war through Fujiko, it's still... awekward. Although I guess Kyousuke wouldn't really be Magneto if he didn't have Nazis in his backstory, right?
