¥7,058 from HLJ if you preorder, the quality looks pretty good (hardly chibi/deformed at all).

I'm going to be rather depressed if we never get 1/8 Ritsu and Mugi PVC figures with their instruments.
Alter's doing a Mugi playing her keyboard. 1/8, prob will be a bit more expensive than usual.

Yeah you are right:

The figure in question was Alter’s PVC rendition of Yui Hirasawa (now sold out everywhere it seems).

A witness report:
Quote:
A shop assistant went to put some stock out on the shelves, and there was a sudden onslaught of K-ON! otaku who were waiting for it. The stock disappeared in an instant, and a couple were running around screaming:

“GAHHHHHHH! That one’s mine!”

“Get lost, I’ll beat you down!”

“WAAAAAAH”

Pretty amazing. The guys who were arguing ran off down the stairs to the second floor at the back and started brawling.

A security guard came pretty quickly and sorted them out.
Sadly no one thought to video the event, but in any case such happenings are all too likely.

Yeah, I have to question their "otaku-ness" for not pre-ordering. They should have to turn in their otaku badges.

My transaction system just noted the Yui transaction from my pre-order....

A true K-On otaku would use a Les Paul for a weapon to secure their Yui figure

Yeah, same here. Took them long enough, but that's probably because of high demand.

And thank heavens for online shopping.

wat? Fighting over a $80 figure? And like Vexx said, who doesn't preorder Japanese figures? Yui was up for reservation for months, and these guy brawl the day of release. That, coupled with the stereotypical idea of two nerds fighting stupily, made me think "Losers!" when I read this.

They probably didn't have money at that time.

Although I very much want to have a Azunyan figurine, I don't have the money because of life expenses.

Could be true, but the good stores don't ask for payment until your package is ready to be shipped to you. I doubt this aspect of figure shopping is different on the Japanese side.

Some stores ask for a deposit just in case the good are returned. So...given how these otaku are often those types that don't work, it is not surprising.
