This Thorium Reactor Has the Power of a Norse God:

"Thor Energy is currently testing the new technology on the small scale. A prototype
reactor will power a paper mill in the town of Halden, Norway for the next five years.
If the fuel proves to be commercially viable during that test, we could see a sea
change in nuclear power by the end of the decade."

This weird demo has been circling around a bit, and many are not sure whether its a real piece of technology.

Actually I'm more interested in finding out who's the girl.

I don't seem to think what's the purpose of this technology? What's this for? Like, does it have a significant advantage for a 12.5 million yen?

It is still cheaper than most prototype exoskeletons in the market.

It works the same way as cranes and lifts, just that a single of this machines is more modular and multipurpose than any other heavy equipment out there.

It is just like how a powerloader can be used both as a logistics and population control tool by simply swapping the forks for chainguns.

I don't think that that very robot that they've advertised would even survive few bullets of a .45 caliber gun.. Not even 99mm I guess... Maybe space exploration will do, but we have space suits.. For space protection? Foreign materials will crash that into pieces I guess.. xD

Meta-materials look very much the same as their normal counterparts you know.

We're getting there. All it needs is portable M134 miniguns and a skull-like mask.

And, yes, I know this robot is actually designed for rescue operations for disaster/high-risk areas like the Fukushima compound...

Could a Spell-Checking Pen Get You to Write in Cursive?:

"Handwriting is dying out in general, but cursive especially. Does anyone under the
age of twenty ever use it anymore? They will, if the minds behind Lernstift have
anything to say about it. They've got a haptic smart-pen that will spellcheck your
script, but does that really make it any more enticing?

With its non-optical motion sensor and some other assorted electronic guts, the
Lernstift will—in theory—not only detect and understand your cursive writing and
vibrate if you're spelling things wrong, but also critique your cursive form. You know,
kind of like a virtual nun with a haptic ruler."

I've always believe that any action human does will have an effect on the earth (even 'clean' energy like wind or bio-fuels) but this really takes the cake...

I only use cursive for signatures. I stopped writing in cursive in either high school (20 years ago) or college because the teachers wanted to be sure they could read our work and usually wanted any long essays typed if at all possible. I stopped taking notes in cursive around the same time.
