Somthing with Air TV's sadness potency?

As much as I held back, Air TV acomplished in making me... er... sad.

...

Okay I cried like a baby.

Anything other anime have the same power?

Hantsuki ~ Romance/Drama
Kimi ga Nozomu Eien ~ Romance/Drama
Kanon the remake ~ had some nice dramatic scenes either...
Saikano ~ a nice romance/sci-fi/Drama anime...

my favorite three tragedies:

Oseam (korean, but still)
Dog of Flanders
Windaria (actual windaria, NOT the english-released version called once upon a time, which is heavily modified and changed to be aimed at 7 year olds)

Well, I thought this movie was a bit sad : The Place Promised in Our Early Days

And of course Grave of the Fireflies

I'll second Saikano. Hatsuki is not THAT sad, I thought Irya no Sora UFO no Natsu was sadder.

Kanon is good up to ep 10, the rest depends on your taste and experience.

Hantsuki would have been sad if it wasn't total crap.

Bokura ga Ita: fantastic romance/drama in a high school setting
Koi Kaze: mature take on very taboo theme... also incredibly romance/drama
Mushishi: some episodes had very poignant stories
Honey & Clover (both series, but particularly the second): amazing drama, one of the best josei series ever.
School Rumble: yes, you read right. Harima's sheer GARness made me cry manly tears in one of the episodes in the first season.

Big "seconded" on Kanon 2006. It's not quite as desolately pessimistic as Air, but it has the tighter story.

Bokurano seems to be shaping up to be pretty depressing. It almost seems to take glee in making it's characters suffer horribly.

I'd also recommend the Densetsu Kyojin Ideon Movies, A Contact and Be Invoked too for its feeling and delivery of utter tragedy and hopelessness (I swear it's an analogy on the potential destruction of the Cold War).
