From a meta perspective, I don't see her being dead. There'd be no purpose in even putting her in the story if she were only to die within minutes of her introduction. On the other hand, Trunks was with her for quite a while, so if she wasn't dead I'd hope he would know that. Though he didn't actually say she was dead, only pissed off because of what just happened to her. On the original hand, Future Trunks is often wrong about things.

I'm also thinking that as soon as he wakes up, the first person he'll see is Goku, who he'll likely attack thinking it's Black. Though I see he somehow has his sword back, despite it getting sent flying while skirmishing with Black. Hard to really gauge what the situation truly is until we see Trunks actually use the Time Machine.

Also, while I'm not surprised, I'm disappointed that Black uses Goku's voice.

I wonder how strong this Black is?
If Hit is still strong than Black, then Goku and Vegeta handle Black just fine if those two team up.

As for the next tournament Goku looking forward to, I'm imagining if Future Trunks will take part in the tournament too.

Maybe she was brought back so that when Future Trunks reveals his relationship with her, that will compel kid Trunks and loli Mai to start something. I mean, since they removed the Mai x Trunks stuff from the BoG retelling arc, maybe they thought this was their chance to reintroduce the relationship, only this time with a little more basis.

Either way, I don't think we'll see Future Mai again, except for the occasional flashback.

I'd expect him to be at least above Hit. Apparently it will be a battle surpassing time and space, involving the God of Destruction, Kaioshin, and Omni-King.

He has some serious hype.

Actually if her status will really ends unknown, then is basically guaranteed that she will return at some point. It just won't be anytime soon, as Yamada even now doesn't know what will happen with her, and at least two or three episodes must be already recorded in advance.

They may not have even gotten back to the future yet with what's been animated/voiced. I imagine it'll take a while, since they still need present Bulma to make more fuel.

He never broke the SSJ2 barrier, unless you could Xenoverse, for example.

So yeah, it doesn't take a LOT for Black to be strong. He could be just as strong as Buu-era Dabura, and he'd STILL be stronger than Future Trunks.

He'd have to be at least SSB tier to even register as a villain in the current timeline.

Love the opening part when he put his left hand at back while his right hand blasting ki attacks.

Never thought that "Base Goku" design can be that cool...just with minor changes.

Maybe this is a good opportunity to to show that Kaioshin are not joke too. They can be formidable too...sometimes.

We don't really know how strong Trunks is at the moment. It's been like 11 years since we last saw him, after all.

Didn't she make like, one drop? Looked like it took at least half a tube to do a one-way trip, and she needs enough for a return trip or else Vegeta and Goku will get stranded in the future.

Yeah, i'm thinking future Bulma's "bet" is that Trunks was going to a time where her past self was probably developing something close to the fuel they need, and she's expecting Trunks' visit to push her.

If Revival of F movie was not made and just adapted in anime, people might have hyped not much as this current arc, but still be hyping.
If this new Future Trunks arc was made into a movie, then I wonder how much more hype than the anime episodes?
