Well, Ali Project's OP here is better fit than when they did the OP for Another.

Lots of things happened in this episode, desu.

Yes, I can see why people like the Queen of Desu, desu.

I suppose this means at some point I'll have to watch the first anime to make sense of this episode, desu.

I'm afraid that might have the opposite effect. Better off reading the first manga series to make sense of this episode.

So the part in the first episode about the twin dolls.

Shinku says something about the owner of them like "He doesn't understand the significance of twin dolls"

Well, what's the significance of twin dolls? >_>

From the earlier anime series... It's because their power is designed to work together (the watering can and the shears). This is why they're basically bound to each other and they feel incomplete when apart; it's like they're two halves of the same whole. That's the significance of twin dolls, basically.

On a totally unrelated point, I just figured I'd say that, contrary to popular opinion, I personally liked the way this recap was done, and it the tone of it seems more fitting as the show continues. In a way it sort of felt like a dream with the way the points connect loosely to each other, and the necessary points are all properly referenced in the story going forward so it's sort of like the disjointed pieces are slowly falling back into place. I guess in a sense it is a bit of an odd opening since it just sort of throws everything out there, but I think it makes sense in the long run. Of course, when most people in this thread were writing, they hadn't yet seen the follow-up episodes, so maybe the anxiety/confusion makes sense.
