Heavy Rain

Heavy Rain is an exclusive games on PS3 made by Quantic Dream .

I'm surprised that no one talked about this game cuz there are a lot of people who was convinced and think that this game could be revolutionary .

Publisher : Sony
Genre : Adventure
PEGI rating : -18 years
Release date : February 24 ,2010 EU -February 23, 2010 US -
February 18 , 2010 JAP -

About this game :

Heavy Rain is a cinematic and evolving thriller from Quantic Dream, the developer behind the critically acclaimed Fahrenheit. Dealing with a range of adult themes, the game revolves around a sophisticated plot and strong narrative threads that explore a complex moral proposition. You assume the role of multiple characters, with very different backgrounds, motivations and skills, in a world shaped by Bending Storylines - a dynamic narrative design where your actions and decisions will shape your story.

Trailer Gamescon 2009 :

News video , the first 9 minutes of the games :

It changes for the games like war , killing monsters etc ...
I think it's an interesting game , we can interact differently and it'll give us a different path .
I hope the storyline will be strong .
Kinda feel that we play a movie in a game .

I honestly do not think this game will be revolutionary. I honestly cant see what about it is. Indigo prophecy was considered a let down(2nd half) by most. Still I am pretty interested in this game. I like the thought of interactive stories. Kinda like Visual Novels, but then with proper visuals.

I think this the kinda game you'll like or dislike purely on if you liked the story or not. Considering that's hard to know and the length is probably around 8 to 10 hours. I can't convince myself to buy this as a full price day 1 buy.

This!

If it turns out to be 8-10 hours long, then I don't think I'll pick it up on the spot either. I'll probably tell one of my friends to rent it if I hear good things from reviews and other gamers.

Heavy Rain is more like an interactive movie instead of a game. Even Quantic Dream's co-CEO David Cage said:

However, I'm looking forward to reading the first reviews, to see how much of a game it really is.

I feel like if they wanted to get people interested in their game, they probably shouldn't have used the first 9 minutes of the game to showcase it. It pretty much turned a lot of people off from it, and only the people who would have bought it because of Indigo Prophecy are still interested in it.

OPM gave it 9/10, saying its a very unique approach in a generation of games that considers this genre dead.

I'm personally looking forward to this game even though I've never played indigo prophecy I still enjoy interactive Role playing games like this.

However a part of me is REALLY hesitate to pay full price for this but at the same time I'm 80% sure this game won't have much replay value other than to see how the various stories can end so I'm torn over just taking a chance and buying it or playing it safe and rent it first

I'm looking forward to it.

Never played Indigo Prophecy and I refrained from watching the first minutes of the game, since the start never says much about the rest and I want to experience that myself for the first time.

I don't think this game will be THE revolution some praise it to be, but it's different and it might open the path for games that don't follow the conventions.
How great it is and how well it will sell is yet to be seen.

I really hope this turns out longer than Indigo Prophecy, which took me about 4 hours to beat. I expect the storytelling to be great, however, so we'll see.

I read some tests :

This game got 15/20 , for another site 5 stars and another 9/10 .

All said that the shelf life is around ten hours and

The good review :

- Great mood . You are very into it . Mi-game Mi-movie .
- BGM is awesome .
- A lot of differents Emotions and Feelings which will keep in your mind .
- You want to know the end so much it's outstanding .
- Great experience , you want more .

The bad review :

- The character's move is slow and heavy .
- The controls aren't very intuitives .
- Some loading are too long .
- The rhythm is slow in the beginning .

But as you're very into the story / Mood etc ... you forgot about them .

So , look like it seems promising isn't it ?

Ps : Breast not censored if you want to know ( when the woman take a shower)

Holy god. It comes out this month! Damn I need to keep up on release dates.

With this and Mass Effect 2, I'll be busy.

Played the demo, it was pretty fun. However, it's because this game is made by quantic dream, makers of Indigo Prophecy, itmakes me have 2nd thoughts about getting this game no matter how interesting it seems.

Only a few more days before the release. It seems the game has some nudity in it but it doesn't look like crossing the line...or was it? Anyway, for what I've seen so far it really gives a movie feeling too. Can't wait to play it
