Seems like we might be getting the lowdown of whats going on with the cloning in this chapter, can't wait to find out what that scientist was talking about. This Uten fight though, not sure what to say about that. Is that an Eden seed sword?

Think you might be right about that. It may be that the sword reflects the desires of Uten, he wants to kill her, yet he also seems to desire herl. Seto is not only getting stabbed in that last scene, but she's moments away from being raped by it as well. Not something I was expecting to see in this series.

And Blade finally found out about Yamada's disappearance. About time.

Uten surpassed all the limits of his fragment and has finally become one who is closer to the Second Christ. As for what's going to happen to Seth, no idea, except whatever Uten is doing to her is anything but good. Here falls the first member of the last Resistance.

To me, it doesn't look like Uten's killing her. Why? It would've been faster to use her sword to kill her rather than pull out this mutant, demon one instead. I don't have time to translate some of the text (have an exam in an hour that I really should be studying for) but I do see 死なないかもね (may not die) as the last thing said by Uten before he stabs her. I'll wait till js06 has an official translation before saying anything further tho.

So happy to see Setsuna and Kuchinashi back Guess they'll find Cruz easily in the next chapter but I wonder what they'll do to him. And I wonder what else Cruz will see/learn before they catch him. Remember, Setsuna said she'd have to kill him if she had an order to do so...

Also important, how does Disk know where Cruz is? I guess she has a GPS on him or something but why didn't she notice it sooner, like when he entered the City? Why did she wait until now to let Blade know? And it seems like Blade is more distressed by this than anything else he's seen today, including Teruyama. Guess Blade and Eve will be going to the Simeon Building next before anything else, so maybe we'll see Blade and Eve arrive there before fighting anyone new (or if they see someone, I'm guessing Eve will stay behind and fight).

Great chapter all around but I'm sad to see that happen to Seto. Kinda wonder what super powered string ability Kafka has...

I know, I know, but I wouldn't say this is good, because it isn't in the least.

But wait a second, doesn't that flesh sword Uten stabs Seth with look like some kind of parasite? Damnit, I want translation asap!

And Blade's reaction upon receiving the bad news is probably the first time in years he has been that upset, meaning they really had good reasons to not let Yamada come to City. They were doing fine till now, but after finding out about Yamada's disappearance, things will turn gloomy from now on.

You can be right about the parasite they are very similar now that I think about it .

You're right about Blade we had not seen him like this for very long time , but not only him even Eve seems really upset (and is quite some time that we not see her like this as well).
Now I'm really curious to know why they are reacting this way.
Blade and Eve are not the types to show a reaction like this for no reason.

Okay I'll throw in my grabbag of guesses(translation) for the last part.

Seto says what Uten's doing shouldn't be possible, but Uten replies she should look at his leg. Surprise! A stigmata!. After he removes some of her clothes he says it's too bad she doesn't seem to have a stigmata and Arclight stepped up the pace to find everyone with a stigmata. He produces his own sword, says something about it being made out of condensed Eden seed and normal Needless wouldn't survive. then something about a magician's assistent pierced by swords won't die because of magic. Then he wants to do an experiment and says she might not die if she's a holder of a stigmata. And at last he shouts SHOWTIME! Or something like that. I still don't know all my katakana and don't feel like looking up all the kanji I'm not familiar with.

I going to agree with you that Uten's mark is the real deal. Its possible that the original Uten did have the mark, he was either never aware of its existence, or did not yet know how to use it. If this sword he has really can awaken Stigmata in Needless, perhaps this substance (Eden Seed) is required in order for it to even manifest for the first time. If this is the case, Uten is just asking to be turned into flattened roadkill by trying to power up someone who controls gravity.

To me there's no doubt Uten's stigmata is real for all the reasons you already mentioned. As to how he got it...he says he got it from Arclight so my guess is the same happened to him as happened to Riru in the Genesis chapter of one of the NEEDLESS ZERO volumes. Where she basically got a major power up after Arclight injected her with "God's cells"

Of course there's still the matter of Teruyama. We didn't see a stigmata on him but then again he wasn't a top tier Needless to start with. So my guess is only the strongest Needless can develop a stigmata(or awaken it if it's latent) when injected with eden seed and the weaker ones die or power up a bit.

Aruka called Seto's ability very powerful so I wouldn't be surprised if she did develop/awaken a stigmata......of course there's also the possibility of for example Disk arriving in the nick of time to sever the connection between Seto and Uten's spear(I thought it was sword at first but he's calling it a spear)

Implying Seth's fragment hidden potential. To me it's clear what happened. Saten highlighted two important facts about the Apple.

1. It evolves a human into a needless
2. It allows needlesses to awaken their dormant power

They implanted Teruyama with the seed, but because his fragment is low tier, he couldn't be one of the 12, and instead the virus took full control over him. On the other hand, Seth's fragment potential has been strongly hinted a few times already. I believe she'll show something really great.

This be said, if Seth awakens a Stigmata, she's saved. Uten won't kill her.

In addition, I guess we can more or less assert that Riru & Arca have the mark too, because their fragments aren't any different from the other two Shitenou.

And lastly but not less, this opens the door for Eve to having taken Blade's mark along with Doppelganger. Because let's not forget, Blade lost his Stigmata after the surgery.

I must note as well that I loved the page where Uten turns himself invisible. He has finally unlocked all the restrictions of his Bermuda Airport.

For Uten’s stigma (and for the other thing you said about stigmata)I agree with everything you said, the only thing I would add is…..
Stigmata born for the Second ES = Good Stigmata or holly Symbols.
Stigmata born for AL ES = Bad / demonic Stigmata.
You know ..like in the bible Demon= Fallen Angel …..I think that the same principle can be applied to the stigma in Needless.(or at least I think so).

For Cruz I’m really curious to see what will happen to him and what will happen when Sestuna and Kushinasi find him?
And Blade and Eve will arrive on time or they will be stopped by someone (like you said )?
And Seto what will happen to her?
And Solva against Mr. spiders?
And Disk what will do now?
And Mio ?
Afterall Sestuna and Kushinasi were waiting for her?
There are
so many possibilities for the next ch and we have to wait another month to get more answers.

There have been a lot of confusing elements with Stigmata like with the series purposely leading us down the wrong path with Mengroze's arrow. And then with the two demonic clones, I'm guessing every clone we see will be slightly demonic for whatever reason.

What I'm curious now is that all the people who have Stigmata are people who accepted Eden's Seeds from another source, like Blade, Arclight, Riru (supposedly) and now Uten. But what about Saten? It'll be interesting to see where he got his... or even if he did get his from an external source.

Sometimes I think there are too many possibilities next chapter. But considering what's happened every chapter, it seems like we get some update on both Cruz and Blade, so we'll get to see those two. And after watching Seto fight and lose, I'm guessing we'll see the same happen to Solva next month against Kafka. But you never know...

Hmmm? Uten calls it a spear and not a sword? Guess this is even more Christian symbolism in Needless. Look at Seto's position there against the wall. Does it look like anything from out of the Bible?

Sure, it isn't perfect, but that's basically the crucifixion scene right there. The other details that support that idea are the knives through the hands (like the nails that went through Christ's hands) and now the spear. When he was up on the cross, he was stabbed by a spear in the abdomen. Had it been a sword, it wouldn't have been nearly the same but since Uten calls it a spear, that's just even more evidence to support that claim.

Really like how Cruz was able to have that conversation without revealing too much about himself. Pretty interesting stuff there, too, including the mentality of Simeon and the scientists. I wonder if everyone's memories have been backed up...

Kinda wonder when we'll see what happened to Seto. Doubt it will be in the next chapter but you never know.
