Can someone tell me the name of the character at the beginning of the Mirai Nikki opening? It only shows the character's eye, and blood is dripping from the eye.

Thanks. I wasn't sure whether it was Yuno or Akise; the eye color and eye shape was more like Akise's, but the hair wasn't and it kind of looked more girly like Yuno's.

I can't remember a certain mecha anime's name.

It involved an odd scientist man who invites a dozen or so children to play a "game" but it turns out that the game involves defending Earth from these foreign robots. They personally use a single robot, taking turns using it. It's tall, humanoid... They move slowly too.

Anyone know of what I'm looking for?

Glad I found this thread, because I've been having a lot of trouble remembering a certain show.

I recall watching an Anime in recent years, and most likely made within the last decade. I think it was along the lines of sci-fi or fantasy, but I can't remember the name, main characters or the main plot.

What I do remember is one character, a young man, who transforms into a costumed superhero using some sort of special device (like a belt or something).
The odd thing is that he was not the main hero of the story, but more of a secondary character.

I recall an aerial fight scene and flashy super powered attacks, possibly fighting a monster or alien or something.

I know this is pretty vague, but I've been searching around with no luck. I can tell you it's not Dragon Ball Z (Saiyaman), or Dokkoida to start with.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks for the reply Marcus, however I'm sure I haven't seen Viewtiful Joe.

Also, I finally remembered what the Anime was while on my way home from work last night.

The show is "Ichiban Ushiro no Daimaou / Demon King Daimao", and the superhero is called "Brave".

I'd even considered this show and written it off since (as I said) I couldn't remember what main plot and characters went with the superhero. Just as I remembered though, Brave was a side character (doesn't even appear in the opening credits) who gets his hands on a device that allows him to transform.

It was when I remembered the part about Brave receiving media coverage in the anime that I made the connection to Daimaou.

Nice to have that sorted out.

Alright, so I found this manga awhile back but since school was in session I decided to wait till the holidays to read it. However, now I totally forgot the name of the manga and can't seem to find it anymore... maybe someone who has read it before can help me.

The manga is about this mysterious protagonist who is trying to eliminate this notorious assassins clan that seems to have been disbanded or is in hiding and the first chapter involves him getting into a fight with a former assassin who uses strings to assassinate his targets. He kills him with a special sword made from the same clan that has the ability to cut through any weapon at the expense of wearing down the sword itself. The protagonist also has a crossed out letter tattoo on his back (I think it was his back).

The drawing is somewhat similar to Basilisk and the setting seems to be in historic times.
