Uh, could you be a little more specific about what sort of non-specific topics you wish to discuss, to give me a better idea of what kind of thread you're looking for? Also, I assume both these thread ideas are more particularly focused on the manga? Kinda want to avoid spoiling those who only watch the anime, after all.

A manga only yes, and it says itself non specific. For example for a few pages we could talk about Let's say Akainu or a specific devil fruit. Not a chat-room i want to make that clear(Not even allowed anyways) but we would pick a topic or two and discuss it for a bit and change topic. That's how i'm thinking it would work.

Given that this is going to be a TV series and not a film, Oda's condition, and that the producer claims to be a big fan, it might turn out decent. Though I wonder about the claim about this series possibly being the most expensive TV drama in history. There will definitely have to be a lot of editing if they stay true to the series, and the CGI could make or break it.
