FanSub to DVD/VCD player playable

EDIT:

Is there such program that is capable of coverting .avi (any fansub formate) to mpg(VCD) or DVD formate with out increasing the file size?

I want to burn them to cd/dvd for couple reasions.

1: to keep
2: to play it on my dvd player and watch it on my tv. (i know the qulity will not be as good on a 50" tv but it does not matter.)

If anybody know of any program thats capable of doing this please let me know.

Thanks allot

Also, I'm pretty sure DVD's ripped from the internet in general, let alone fansubbed anime, work on all DVD Players, regardless of what you do, since DVD Players have this device that detects something in an actual DVD that allows it to play, in which DVD's from the internet will most likely not do.

I do know that some of the DVDs I made work in Phillips DVD Players.

Sorry that's wrong. Dvd players will only play files associated with it Firstly Mpeg2 and occasionally some different file types most commonly AVI/Divx/Xvid. Just throwing any old file on the DVD will not get it play. Try it, burn an mkv onto a disc without converting it to mpeg2 or a supported file type. Let me know what you see. Throw an avi file on disc and try it on a dvd player not supporting avi eg a PS2. Let me know what you see

I know it is possible, It is just that we don't know the way.

I have 23DVD/CD live examples on my hand. Got it last summer when i went back to china.

All the animations DVDs that I got are all by fansub since it shows the group that subed it at the start of every EPS.

Each of these dvds contains 15 to 20 Eps and they are infect in DVD formats since thats what my pc tells me anyway.

These dvds can be played on any dvd player, I have tried it in three different dvd players so far and they all works. It has all the features that a US dvd have, like Thumbnails of each EPS, the option of choses to play it all or specific eps. of between the EPS The quality is ok. close to tv quality which when played on a tv does not make much difference.

This is what it shows in my pc.

first when the dvd opened it shows two folders

1:AUDIO_TS
2:VIDEO_TS

when VIDEO_TS is open it show these files

1:VIDEO_TS Size - 8KBFile type - Backup file of the IFO
2:VIDEO_TS Size - 8KBFile type - DVD Movie Info
3:VTS_01_0 Size - 60KBFile type - Backup File of the IFO
4:VTS_01_0 Size - 69KBFile type - DVD Movie Info
5:VTS_01_0 Size - 460KBFile Type - DVD Movie
6:VTS_01_1 Size - 4.35GBFile Type - DVD Movie

These DVDs can be picked up on any of the Chinese rental stores in newyork

any idea that program they used to make these dvds?

that is in Mpeg2. That is not avi, mkv or whatever.

Your first step is to convert it to that format. See here
http://forums.animesuki.com/showthread.php?t=26308
or a program called convertxtodvd.

20 episodes on a dvd? If you find that acceptable well I'm not going to tell you that it sucks quality to compress files that much.
