Heres the cover, it's the Basic Drill mook. 272 pages.

Apparently it contains the full storyboard for episode 8, so I'm going to have to buy it I guess. It's up for order at Amazon, HMV etc

I'm kind of disappointed that none of the Gurren Lagann DVDs have any sort of printed visual books/booklets, as Aniplex as pretty good with that, so it'll be a good substitution.

Also, pretty lame, but the 6th DVD will be 15-17, only 2 episodes plus the recap

I'm glad. I loved the recap --- and happy to see it'll be apart of the DVD collection.

Hopefully i shall be ordered the drill book this weekend --- i can't see amazon selling out that fast.

Oh, how I want that.

I also saw a picture of a figure of Kamina doing his epic pose. I only saw it in that one report of WHF, though.

Also, Gurren Lagann model kit. Does anyone know why it's so cheap or have any additional info on it (scale etc.)?

man i'm really hoping that all those original scene cells we saw in the early production of gurren lagann get translated into posters.. like i think those as poster/wallscroll items would be the most beautiful thing ever..

800 sounds to me like a figure that has no articulation (maybe waist and shoulders only) and is prepainted (if the painting is as nice as the promo pic then it's prolly worth it). Kinda like the Kamen Rider RHS.

I'm assuming this was in response to the Gurren-Lagann model kit I linked to. I've since then discovered that 1/144 Gundam models are around the same price range, so I expect the quality to be about the same (not exactly stellar). It's definitely a model kit though, which means that it would take some time and effort to get it looking like the promo pic. It's also pretty small at 12 cm.
