Other interesting things about the preview:
-There's a "SPEM" can in the scene with Eila and Sanya. Heh.
-They're still fitting fanservicey public bath scenes into the episode?
-Holy shit looks like there's going to be some sort of EPIC fight going on. Minna, Yeager, Francesca, Barkhorn, Hartmann, all star line up there.
-Lynette hugging Yoshika. <3 <3 <3 I've posted before about how much I love this pairing.
-Lynette sleeping with Perrine is also cute.

I got an email from Yesasia today saying that the only thing still missing from my order (from July ) is the 3rd novel. I opted to wait since I had JUST ordered other things from Amazon.jp where the book is back in stock. ARGH.

So far, the third book is really more of the same, though Haruka is pretty extreme this time around in the opening . Midway through chapter 3 now.

Spoiler for novel vol. 3, major spoilers:

The Suomus gang end up facing Neuroi copies of themselves. Unfortunately, the first encounter ends badly, with Haruka getting disabled and captured before the rest of the squadron can get off the ground.

The second clash occurs shortly after, when the squadron goes out searching for Haruka. Fortunately the Neuroi copies don't work very well as a team, and effective mutual support from Our Heroines eventually takes them down. The tricky part is that Haruka has gotten brainwashed and is proving a slippery customer in combat. Ursula suggests using a psychological shock to snap her out of it, but nobody has any ideas until Beurling suddenly has a flash of inspiration, pulls in close to Tomoko and draws her Gurkha knife...

Poor Tomoko. She's really having a rough time this novel, isn't she?

Woohoo, so my copy of Witch in Africa just arrived .


Manga section has a full English translation as well, despite what some Toranoana sample images might show (or maybe it's only the Comiket versions that are in English?). It's mostly one big battle so there isn't much story, but it's pretty nicely done. The setting is a joint Karlsländer, Romagnan and Britannian force holding the Halfaya Pass with an Acht-acht (88 mm gun) until Witch reinforcements can show up. Witches are Oberleutnant Hanna-Justina Marseille from the Karlsländer Luftwaffe, and Major Miles and her 12-strong C Company, of the 4th Armoured Brigade, Britannian Royal Army.

Even though Marseille is on the cover, Miles shows up a lot more. More tank witches can only be a good thing . And heck, it's worth it for the novelty factor of a doujinshi in perfect English.

Oh, and there are more male characters than female
