It is "tawake : たわけ (戯け)."
The person who received the word since it had little frequency in use compared with "ahou (stupid) or baka (foolish)" is depressed in spirits.
(Although Horo is using it frequently.)
I investigated it in the dictionary.
Tawake is translated into "a fool; an idiot; a nitwit; a blockhead".

Although I did not know, there is the following common saying in this.
"tawake" writes it as "田分け (divide a rice field)".
When fields are divided by a child's number, in the generation of a grandchild and a great-grandchild, an area becomes small, and since a crop decreases and the family line declines, there is a common saying of having come to mean a fool.

This was overall just a really fun read. Really have to give thanks for the effort put in to get this out. Maybe since it went well with how the story was going in volume 3, but Horo's thoughts were just a lot of fun. Couldn't get tired of them no matter how much one read.

Even though it was shown Nora is pretty sharp as well. Just picked up on what Horo was saying and got to have a nice little chat at Lawrence's expense. Poor guy just lives on in his naive world . Completely missed what Horo was talking about then brings 'the enemy' to visit....If Horo plays like a sheep too often they really would end up falling off a cliff or something. One of them needs to keep a sharp mind or else its doom.

Still an interesting friendship there with the wolf and ex-Shepherdess now. Nora is getting out of the game while Horo will have to take care of hers for a while longer . Leaves you with a smile when you think back to the question Nora posed about whether Horo had ever been a Shepherdess.

But somehow Lawrence was portrayed a bit too slow ^_^ With his reactions it notlike a sheep, more like a rock
It was Howo who was the solo star in this story.. and she made a fantastic show for us ^_^

"Wolf and Amber Melancholy" is my favorite episode.
It has a sequel in which Lawrence with whom Horo's cold was infected has a nightmare.
Although it is a comedy in radio drama CD.

Bad weather outside the whole evening/night.. so I decided to do the same..
Even after the second time the reaction is the same.. A GREAT peace of work!!

The author has a blog but since I can't read it...

It looks somewhat girly to me, tons of pictures of cats everywhere but it could be he's just a weird guy. If it is a guy I'm very impressed with how he writes female characters.

Man do I feel like an idiot. I completely misread Horo the entire way. Excuse me a moment while I bang my head into the wall. Horo had cooled off before the conversation was over and yet I thought she was mad for quite some time. Of course Horo underestimated Lawrence's thick head so it turned out like this. The marriage certificate was meant to fire him up and make him angry. Instead it was like a needle to his heart. That the situation turned into this is just a bad joke. Really has to hurt that Lawrence panicked, misread everything and even lost faith. Though I guess he doesn't get points for pulling himself together and going for it.

Guess one of the shocking things is that Deanna isn't even human. Wonder what other kinds of people we will run into during this series? A giant bird eh? But man Horo was there during the last conversation with Deanna....Even he knew how deep in it he was when thinking about that question about humans and gods becoming a pair. "Horo must really be a demon."

Well at least Horo got some revenge in the end with a bite on the hand. Though really even if it was through bad misunderstandings Lawrence went through hell here. Then pulled everything he could to try and keep them travelling together.

“All along, my life has been filled with nothing but business, and I plan to continue pursuing such a lifestyle in the future. So, concerning things that are not related to business, you can just think of me as a slow-minded guy.” Have to admit that sure sounded like an introduction to a proposal or something. Though I guess proposing for them to keep travelling together was part of it.

Overall I just loved this volume. Huge thanks for the translation since without it we would have missed this great adventure. It was pretty tense at times, but can't imagine finishing the anime and not having gotten to read this.
