One more OT post...

And if you aren't into punishing RPGs, don't bother with SaGa. Unlike here where the 'broken' stuff are merely optional to beat the game, there you HAD to figure out how to optimize your party/formalize an efficient strategy, or the game will beat you. You think the recent Wizardry-esque RPGs (ex. Etrian Oddysey) are niche? SaGa is even more so.

You can increase villagers number by: 1. Steet Pass system. Each person who walk past you will give you 1 villager. 2. Update Data everyday.( can be done in Save menu) This will give you 2-5 villagers per day.

I love the game but one thing,
It is very hard to come up with a comfortable Team Builds (heck, right now i have Merch, Red Mage, White Mage, and Knight), i am still on chapter 2 but still I know that Agnes is White Mage and Edea is a Knight or Black Mage and that is it.

However, by status Edea is suitable for a job that relay on atk/def/vit Tiz is has balance status. He good at everything. Agnes and Ringnabel are good magic user.

My team for most of tfhe game (but not that optimized compared to the crazy builds people had was) Tiz: Arcanist/Black Mage, Ringabel: Dark Knight/Thief, Agnes: White Mage/Performer, and Edea: Templar/Pirate. The Poison/Exterminate combo did wonders for most boss battles, Ringabel just kept Mugging everyone, Agnes was full support buffs and heals, Edea was debuff and defense. Standard builds, but not like others who uber hax things xP

There are support abilities which allow you to use specific skills from any other class but depends on the level of your other jobs and how many support points you have which you get from awakening crystals ( a max of 5) which you access this in the same Ability menu as the Job command.

I'm fine with challenging RPGs, but I'm not necessarily the best at beating them. But if the story is good I really don't care about the difficulty, I will find a way to beat it. I really just need a good storyline and I'm hooked. That's one of the main reasons I like Bravely Default. The storyline gets really good, and the sequel's PV storyline already looks badass and amazing, that trololol in the in-game PV for it. I'll find my friend code soon and then put it up... |

At chapter 5 too. I max my level and all the Job (except for one)
-_- Current setup: For Boss battle: Tiz: Slave-Maker/Thief (I think I should have switch it around....>_<) Agnes: Dark Knight/Vampire0 Ringabel: Arcanist/Red Mage Edea : Templar/Spirit Master Just in case you are wondering: Yea... it is "that" kind of build Tiz: stealing > using Compound ability > Dagger Special Agnes: just do damage with Black Bane Ringabel: BP generator > Exterminator (after using the Wand special....) Edea: For Stillness.... Templar is just because it is a slow class (Alternatively is Knight so that I can use the Overcharge combo)

My go to party was (listed jobs are their secondary, their current job is whatever I was leveling up at that time)...
Agnes: Red Mage Group Cast, BP Recovery, Stat ailment amp Tiz/Edea: Dark Knight (for dark nebula until you have blood blades for everyone) or Monk (pressure point is good against that third crystal boss so you can kill him before energy burst) 2-hand, BP recovery, Weapon Lore, one with More Money, the other with Healing Lore Ringabel: Templar or Spiritmaster, depending if the boss is magic or physical based (thief knife for stealing) Slow World, Rob Blind, BP recovery So if Ringabel is Spiritmaster, then Adaptation for all into Dark Nebula spam. If Templar, Pressure point x3 with Edea/Tiz, Rampart with Ringabel then auto-battle. Now that I maxed lvls + all jobs, my current party uses the Rage method. Basically stillness into buff up/debuff the enemy first turn+second turn, slow world means that most bosses will be at -1BP third turn, then release 3 rages doing 50k each rage with 3 people = 450k damage (it might be less depending if Ringabel can hit the damage cap). Agnes - caster setup: make sure she's slowest Time Mage/Red Mage Group Cast, BP Recovery, Status Ailment Amp Tiz Dark Knight/Merchant 2-hand, BP Recovery, Drain Amp, Sword Magic Amp, BP Limit up Edea Dark Knight/Salve Maker 2-hand, BP Recovery, Drain Amp, Sword Magic Amp, BP Limit Up Ringabel Dark Knight/Spiritmaster 2-hand, BP Recovery, Slow World, BP Limit Only problem with this setup is against undead (only Gigas Lich AFAIK is an undead boss, but you can easily switch over to a Dark Nebula setup against undead) and those enemies with absurdly high PDEF (like that Be Mine Nemesis fight), of which you need something absurd like Knuckle Lore + Natural Talent to do damage. Which of course means that I had to make Ringabel like Templar+Spiritmaster (for rampart + enigma) else my damage dealers gets one shotted since they are naked. It's less safe than the High Jump method, but infinitely more satisfying considering you can finish a lot of bosses by the first turn of Rages.
