I thought so... someone was saying almost of a third of the VAs were first-time players and that didn't sound quite right. My recollection is that only two are replacements due to a retirement and a contract conflict. Unfortunately, my schedule is kind of packed so I haven't had time to do the research.

As for the 'voice therapist' part, you can tell that by how she sounds different in nearly all her roles.

Chao's new seiyuu is Takamoto Megumi. I think that's the only person from class 3-A to have a new seiyuu. The welsh girls received new seiyuus, but personally I prefer these than the old ones (not that they had much of a role in the previous series).
My top 10 Negima seiyuu: 1) Kobayashii Yuu (obviously; who knew such a soft-spoken, polite person could emote like that) 2) Kanda Akemi (love her personality; someone I'd get along with well if I had the chance) 3) Shiraishi Ryouko (love her personality, with a knock-out singing voice) 4) Matsuoka Yuki (again, cool personality; she pulls off Eva so well) 5) Nonaka Ai (she's so cute, as well as her voice) 6) Noto Mamiko (such a soothing voice) 7) Horie Yui (gotta include her in the list; one of the best seiyuu around) 8) Watanabe Akeno (her voice just strikes me) 9) Junko Minagawa (without her, I wouldn't like Ayaka at all) 10) Kuwatani Natsuko (she did Yue so well, couldn't have her any other way) Yes, it is very hard to choose between these set of girls; I almost want to tie a few girls to put more seiyuu on the list. All the girls are very talented. I can't wait for the OVA and the single release for "1000% SPARKLING". I'm curious to hear what "A-LY-YA!" sounds like. |

I have a few of the character/vocal CDs from the first series. My favorites are the Martial Arts girls CD and the Dark Angel girls CD. The story on both is kind of neat but the hilarious part is the "chatter session track" at the end of each when the girls drop to their "normal" voices and just vocally romp around. I don't know if they're riffing off some bullet point charts or just winging it but they are entertaining to listen to. My gods they pillage the Japanese language in casual speak <rofl>.

When I was listening to Sparking 1000%, I was spooked for a second or two with the sound of Horie Yue... for I suddenly thought of Ayu. Suddenly, the thought of Makie doing a uguu seems not so impossible.
