it took three of the strongest zanpakuto spirits just to seal yama-ji because muramasa is having a hard time persuading ryujin jaka...i mean ukitake and shunsui's did seal yamamoto..what about unohana's minazuki? i wonder what role did it do in yama-ji's sealing.

I do recall that the last time his Zanpaktou tried to attack him .... he blew it up..... it wasn't too long ago either, he was fighting that "fantabulous" 8th espada..... so Mayuri has his bases covered.......

Isnt this filler before the arrcane arc. It would make sense why Mayuri plant self destruct on his Zanpaktou now

We don't really now when this was happening since its out of continuity (sp) with the anime and manga, just like the Amagai arc and all the movies. Since Ichigo hasn't put his mask on and wasn't shown with it on in the preview, it might be supposed to take place directly after the Bounto arc

I'm not sure about that. Momo isn't comatose at all, for one.

I just equate these out-of-continuity arcs/movies as a Bleach equivalent to DC's Elseworlds shiz, mainly because of the "alternate historie" aspect, cause they haven't acknowledged the existence of the HM arc in this arc yet, nor the Amagai arc, and the movies usually tend to be of this nature anyway. Probably the best thing to do till we get official confirmation about it.

as said, those scenes just show that they are both part of ichigo's soul. in that sense, they are the same.
however, you said that hichigo is a zanpakuto, which is a representation of shinigami powers, not hollow.


in any case, the whole idea of your soul hopping out and trying to kill you is rather ridiculous. potentially entertaining, but ridiculous.

I agree that it is seriously risky for both Yoruichi and Ichigo to head to Soul Society ... and the reason they gave for Ichigo's departure is seriously ... weak. And things were going so well too.

Really, why haven't Urahara and co. checked with their own zanpakutos? Even without being in Soul Society, the zanpakutos should have an inkling as to what is going on (and they likely do, seeing Zangetsu heard a call) and at least should be able to answer basic questions like what existence is like for them, whether they feel enslaved or are acting on their own free will in their symbiosis with shinigami, and speculate as to why zanpakutos might be rebelling.

It would've been awesome if Aizen was still there. I'd love to see Kyōka Suigetsu come out and assrape him.
