All joking aside, I was expecting Head Maid to do a "hold the line scene" then Hero would break in and save the day. So I'm a little giddy right now. More to the point, if the previous Demon Lords had already corrupted her, how would throwing her back in there help?

I think it was more like one of the Demon Lords got enough control over her to take her body and walk out. It might have been a really momentary thing though, tossing her back in there gives Demon Queen a chance to retake her body.

Evil DQ is so hot, can't wait for a chapter that can once again focus on her and Hero.

I wonder if she was possessed by a past Demon Lord, or it was actually consciously her (just extremely twisted/corrupted). She said "This body..." as if it weren't hers, but she did seem to have the knowledge/memories DQ has. Either way, she's damn powerful. Poor Head Maid.

Anyways, saving that for later...the rest of the chapter was the usual Maoyuu goodness. I'm loving Female Magician ("And I'm a demon"), and like it was said earlier, DQ's disciples are turning out to be some fantastic people. How much time has passed? "Youngster" doesn't look so young anymore. That's a man's man if I've ever seen one.

She's called demon lord and not demon queen though, which seems to be indicative enough in a series where people are called by their titles; ie female knight, hero etc.

I also aggree, the naming convention in this manga sucks (really only the bad thing about it). heros fine (actually a name), Demon lord/queen is fine but all the others are a joke <.<. I should come up with my own names to give them O_O

Finally, the food shortages are finally affecting Central's mercenary army.
I can't wait to see the look on that noble who hired the mercenaries when his men refuses to fight since they got no food and their money is worthless.

Huh. Just saw the anime's first episode. It was good, alot like the first chapter. It was a little bit funnier even. Sad that they didn't mention the potato just yet or maybe that'll come in episode 2. They did mention a different, depending on your point of view, more important issue to replace the possibility of famine though.
