Track 6-Senso is the music of the scene.

Tsubasa OP is really good, I loved the violin and even more the changes in rhythm.

I agree, it's great though I expected as much since Yui Horie was singing it

I'm pretty pleased the first soundtrack. Of course i didn't expect that many tracks, so what we were given will be enough until the second comes around.

I don't know how many people were impressed with Kousaki's compositions here, but this soundtrack was a middle of the road experience. Some good, some so-so, the tracks that caught my attention were mostly the electric guitar tunes. The piano stuff was all right, but once again, they play off of Kousaki's minimalist bent, so they don't create a high degree of memorability.

I'll reserve judgment on the OP theme until I see the accompanying animation. As is, I feel like there's something missing since it sounds a tad generic.

Anyone care to post a translation of sugar sweet nightmare?
I understood some parts but with all the knowledge I have of the Japanese language being what I've been able to pick up from watching a few years of anime I pretty much got nothing. I just really love the song.

Spoiler for Quick attempt:

There's a line I'm unsure of that I marked with a [?].

Was too lazy to transcribe myself so I googled for the Japanese lyrics... found them on Baidu of all places, and with some of the Kanji replaced with simplified Chinese. o_O

For the [?], if you mean 魑魅魍魎 (chimimouryou), rikaichan transaltes it as "evil spirits of rivers and mountains", which seems at least close enough ... but I also think that translating it as demon captures pretty much what it is supposed to mean.

No, that was in the previous line, and I found it fine in the dictionary... the [?] line of translation corresponds to いっそのこと もう悪魔になれたら and it was more the いっそのこと that I wasn't sure about (I googled it and one site defined the phrase as being more or less the same as 思いきって so that's how I tried to translate it).

Whats the name of the theme that plays whenever something awesome or really creepy happens? The 'its getting serious' kinda of theme?

Hurray for Removed Terms of Use Violations! Denying me since 1997.

It seems like some people decided to release Idolmaster versions of the 5 themes. It's basically the same songs with different seiyus. You get Rie Kugimiya singing Renai Circulation and the other four i don't really know that much about but either way you guys decide if they are good or not.

Spoiler:

My review of it:

It's very, very difficult to make Sugar Sweet Nightmare sound bad. They almost succeded. I like the arrangement, but vocals are really bad. I'm not really familiar with Idolmaster series, maybe that's the point? At least it was kind of fresh after 1000th time of listening to the original. Oh well!
