In the Hokage battle, just after the shodaime and Nidaime are ressurected by Edo Tensei, sandaime refers to them as brothers.

edit: Wait, I can't quite find the time, but im sure he said it somewhere during that battle..

Well, it wasn't exactly a fair fight though was it? Naruto 'beat' Sasuke on the rooftop as well. Ok, maybe he never actually beat him but considering his thingymabob was going to deal more damage, then he might have won. Oh well, I guess Naruto and Sasuke will be taking turns to win. I believe there will be a time when Sasuke will beat Naruto again and this will make him powerful enough to beat Itachi (which is probably inevitable unless he starts forgiving him ) but then a few chapters or so later, Naruto will have beaten Sasuke again
