To the console manufacturers it is called investment.
Even if only one in every ten games they accept turns eleven times the investment then the return of investment is .1 cent per 1 cent investment or 10% return rate. As I have wrote earlier they have the right to reject any game they deem not worthy meaning the production company invests in production but after acceptance the console company is required to invest in promotion or there will be no game production company to invest in creating a game for that console in the first place. This scheme is more prominent as the console gains more popularity. |

The only thing I'll say is that you can only have so many "loss-leaders" before you actually start losing money in the summation of your line of products.

Yippee! second season!
The whole atmosphere will not change, since director and script don't change. Although a animation production changes to Brain's Base (Kamichu, Baccano!, Gigantic Formula, Kure-nai), probably, this is a animation production of the top class which can be desired now. I think that Kamichu and Kure-nai had top-level animation qualities. However, if there is no time in a schedule, animation quality will worsen like Kure-nai Episode 6. I wish that Brain's Base makes it with sufficient time. Moreover, the animation production will change if there is season 3 because Brain's Base doesn't make the sequel. If it is HD master work, I want PONYCANYON to put blu-ray on the market from the beginning. The character designer changes, too. However, I hear that Ami Koshimizu had a hard time finding the difference of the design. The change in the character design seems to be few. I knew a 2nd season must be coming, it was quite surprising that they took a while to annouce it. Since there is more materials to animate, the DVD sold well, the first season has an open ending too.
Any guess when is 2nd season going to be out? I'm guessing spring 2009, I find a lot of anime like to be announce 6 months earlier (except Haruhi....)

This is just a random question but i was wondering if the scene in the opening "tabi no tochuu" with horo curling up on the chair in the room was from episode 11 when she was waiting for Lawrence. I initially thought it would be a major plotline but it never came up. So if anyone has any idea on the scene feel free to comment. If you need a screen cap i'll get one but i'm sure everyone has watched the opening plenty of times.

hmm ok yea i guess now that i think about it although there are a lot of openings of various anime that don't have anything to do with the actual plot and only parallels the storyline.
This opening is great anyway and i hope they do something great for the next season, it'll probably be a bit different due to brains base taking over but i can't wait. |

Not necessarily. Animesuki was also given a notice for the torrents... they stopped listing them but its still quite easy to follow through to known fansub groups.
Interesting though, especially if we start to hear about other notices with the "less stringent torrent sites". It may be that there are negotiations in progress... Not that I'd complain if the DVDs were released in R1 but that's just me.... but if they're going to be annoying about it, they should move along and publish.

random question, has anyone tried the goat cheese on boiled potatoes that Horo ate in ep2 i know it probably just tastes like potato with a cheesy flavour but has anyone had something like this? i've never thought of trying it before, cheese and potato doesn't sound that much of a good combination to me.
