Is the DPRK asking for more trouble than they already have? That would be interpreted as "asking to be bombed the shit of" from North Korea.

Well, not like it can get any worse for them than it already is, and no one is going to bomb DPRK, they ARE crazy enough to start a nuclear war.

Under a principle known as the rescue doctrine, a rescuer who gets hurt saving someone can sue if the emergency was the result of negligence. That arguably could apply if an emergency worker was injured rescuing someone who ignored an order to evacuate, said Hayes Hunt, a Philadelphia lawyer who mulled over the issue on his blog, From the Sidebar.
It's not clear, though, whether any emergency department would want to take that step against a citizen.

they should

More recent footage of Irondome in action. So shouldn't these people, be like taking cover instead of running outside cheering as rockets are potentially flying at them?

Noda agrees to hold December elections.

Another one bites the dust in Japan. That didn't last long.

The election forecasts promise to bring the LDP back in power. An unhappy prospect, except the DPJ has also repeatedly proven itself incompetent.

Poor, poor Japan.

Both parties are just... I'd say they're filled with the same-old-same-old; nothing new, just those who tried and yet they don't have any balls. Unfortunately the aging voters have yet to realize what's wrong.

Hamas has been intensifying its rockets campaign for weeks. Israelis in the southern regions near Gaza were getting increasingly...annoyed, and they naturally expect their government to do something. Israel frames this as a retaliatory campaign.

Some do accuse Netanyahu of pulling a CCP with the choice moment to start operations, because the Israeli elections are coming up. How much you agree with that is up to you.

If only the demographics were different in Japan, they could have had a share of younger and more energetic politicians who would be able to make this electoral battle a case of conservatives vs. liberals and old vs. young, just as it happened in the US a few times and as it will happen in Canada. They desperately need a Kennedy or a Trudeau of their own.

I'm a moderate, so my natural tendency is to vote liberal.. Heck, I'm a member of the dang party .. but I am actually not a fan of Justin Trudeau running to head the party. He doesn't have the experience nor resume, only pedigree at this point, so any person not blown away by his personality will cringe at having him represent our country. It won't be the revival the Liberal party needs.

Re: Japanese demographics, there's been a joke going around at work that with China looking to remove the "one-child policy" that Japan is going to institute a "three-child policy" ..

Reply hazy, ask again later

I was rather pointing to the old man, Pierre Elliot Trudeau, who had the appeal to have young voters on his side at the time in the 1970s. About his son, I'm among the people who believe that he's worth a shot considering our neighbors south of the border had Kennedy as president at only age 43 and that the next election is only in 3 years.

Japan need to look at Sweden's social policies on how it helps people having time with family duties and having children while productivity at work is not hindered.
