Is the Izumi that he's talking about is the glasses girl that got nommed in total eclipse? THe only girl I remember there is the one that acts as a rival of Yui and even her name escapes me. They just appear too short for me to remember them.

Then the total eclipse game that will be release would probably be one if it will be release in pc. Though is TE scheduled to be released in ps3 too? just like the ps3 version of the muvluv trilogy?

oh noes Izumi didn't automatically have Yui's unwavering balls to the wall military brat attitude and pissed herself on her first mission and in the context of the story this means she would have had absolutely no potential to grow up and live in the wake of her fallen comrades and would have been an annoying waste of space for the rest of her life if she had survived

Oh wait, Muv-Luv Alternative's entire plot is built around that concept.

Because the writers kept her alive long enough to develop an inspiring personality. It would be a completely different case if she had been abruptly killed early on while she was still in her bitchy opinionated squad leader phase.

In other news, Jesus Christ it is a pain in the ass trying to get this game to run on XP; my main gaming rig is down due to unknown reasons and I'm still trying to get it back up, which is forcing me to go back to my basic 5 year old laptop.

Goddamnit.

Seems the universe is conspiring againt me ever playing Muv-Luv.

Also i don't have a problem with the OS locale (im on Win8) but it got annoying so i changed back.
I wish i knew a way to keep my locale and play the games (appLocale on win8... works not... the way it should).
