There are a number of ways to say "I" in Japanese. Here is a very general look at the more common ones.
Atashi -- very feminine. Pretty much used only by feminine women and, er..."flamboyant" men.
Watakushi (the "u" is almost silent) -- also quite feminine, but with an overblown high-class feel to it. Only really used by ojou-sama "rich girls". Sometimes pronounced/spelled without the "w", which I believe accents the feminine connotation.
Watashi -- the default, polite "I". Used by both genders in social situations with strangers or superiors, IRL. In manga and anime, used almost exclusively by women or formal-acting men, or in humble situations (to a teacher, or boss, or neutral stranger, etc.).
Sessho -- literally "this one". Very humble way of referring to oneself. Usually only used in period pieces by particularly humble ninja or samurai, or by characters in other genres attempting to reference those types of characters (for instance Kaede the ninja in Negima!).
Boku -- the default informal "I" for men, especially teens and boys. Not used as much in social situations IRL as it is in anime/manga. Also used by women (called bokukko) to give them a masculine or more precisely a "non-feminine" air.
Ore -- very masculine, haughty version of "I", bordering on the rude in most social situations, and going well over the line in others. You could probably expect to get fired for using "ore" to a superior at a job, for instance. Gangsters and punks use it almost exclusively, as do shounen heroes that don't use "boku".
Washi -- a bastardization of "watashi", I think. Used exclusively by old men.

Kyon pretty much uses boku exclusively, and maybe ore when he's exasperated at Haruhi or Itsuki for something. Itsuki uses watashi and boku, and Haruhi uses all three. I'm pretty sure Yuki uses watashi only, when she bothers using a personal pronoun at all. Mikuru does use atashi, IIRC, but watashi as well. Pretty sure Sasaki uses boku exclusively, and as a matter of fact, the first chapter she's in makes a point of being written in such a way that you can't tell if she's male or female until it's explicitly stated (I remember this being a discussion over on the B-T forums when it was first being translated).

My guess is it's either another member of the Anti-Dan (Kyoko?) or Slider-tan making her first appearance in the α-verse, if that reference is indeed from an α section. Could be Ryoko or Kimidori, also. Both could be expected to use atashi.

Just posted that the beta part is about 90% of the chapter. Alpha is really small and unfortunately our "new girl" doesn't appear at all.
This person also confirmed Ryoko vs Kuyoh was interrupted by Kimidori. It's looking more like those spoilers had a lot of truth in them.
I'm working on making sense of a line about Kyon and Sasaki's number, but it looks like it may be beyond me at the current time.

Ah, no wonder. I'm an idiot. It's been so long that I forgot that the α-verse had Slider-tan and the β-verse had the sick Yuki, and switched them up. That would explain why we're seeing mostly β if it's involving fights with Kuyoh, since we have yet to see her in α. Can you tell if the "Atashi to tsukiau" line is in α or β?

I don't have 100% confirmation (it's not outright said), but I'm about 95% sure it's in the beta timeline. I'm personally speculating that it's said by Sasaki when she's communicating with Kyon, but I could be wrong on my speculation.
