Yen Plus released their magazine "Yen Plus" recently in case noone knew. It's just like Shonen Jump but with their manga instead.
Yen Plus is completly original to the Japanese manga, no english sound effects, cursing intact, no edits, everything the same as the Japanese version. If you were aware of the recent licensing of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, Titled "Higurashi When They Cry" in the states for manga releases, then be happy to know Higurashi is now in the monthly Yen Plus Magazine! I was soo~ happy to know that they brought Higurashi actually in the states in a REALLY well done english manga format. Go to your local book store and buy it today! EDIT: Hey now that I am in the manga mood for Higurashi, any news on translations of some of the uncompleted manga of Higurashi? |

And when I mean perfect there are no flaws. Go out and support the series, BUY IT. And it isn't sealed...so you can just read a bit before you make a purchase. And besides Higurashi it had other manga too that are good like for instance, Soul Eater. |

I already have the scans, so it'd prolly be a waste of my money, but hey, anything to support 07th Expansion. I'm just going to wait until November when the volume comes out tho.
In the magazine, were any original color pages still in color? I'm assuming they were, just wondering tho. >> And, I also heard somewhere that the novels are going to be released along with the volumes. Does anyone know if that's true? o.o |

Score-dee-frickin'-score! I just got it. GREAT translation (I love Rena's "Will you take me to the ___? Will you?" and Rika's "___, sir."), and nice change of font for the denials. The dialogue seems to flow really well.
First GN's out in November. I'll be there |

My only nitpick really is I kind of prefered Sonozaki Futagotachi's translation in the sound novel of "oji-san" for Mion as "uncle" or "Uncle Mion" but I figure that's more just a matter of trivial personal taste. I was a little weirded out by Rika's "sir" at first (as it sounds so western coming out of her) but I realised quickly that it nicely encapsulated her politeness evoked the "nano-desu" she always uses somehow. I want to take her home! Hau~. '#_#' No, I'm really impressed with it, and the Yen Plus selection overall too (though that first OEL-manwha seemed pretty bleh). I read every page. Solid lineup of SquareEnix-published titles for the Japanese side of things (making up about almost 2/3 of the content, with the other third being Korean Manwha and a couple of OEL titles), all with anime licenses, yet criss-crossing a variety of genres too. I'll probably buy a subscription. Can't wait to see how chapter 2 turns out with the famous USODA scene. USE SODA! >_<; Apologies, I've been browsing YouTube too much lately.
