Damn pinkies. It's been quiiite long since I've been seriously pissed off by a character in anime. Really, there's nothing redeemable about you anymore if even Ryner wants you deader than dead. It's also pretty awesome to finally see his ridiculous casting speed since they skipped out on the demonstration during the Miran fight.

Next ep art style change? Hmmm...I hope they don't spend too long on the build-up though, since they only have 4 eps to cover 3 volumes.

they have 5 or 6 I think. remember that last 3 volumes are comparatively shorter with less pages. they are actually 1 volume split into 3 if you review the chapter numbers. the key events are in volume 10 start, volume 11 end and some legend background.

True, last 3 volumes are the same arc, so I hope that we get to the end of vol 9 in next ep at least.>_>

honestly, if people just skipped eps 17-19, they probably wouldnt miss much at all. they didnt need to make ryner emo run away to let us know that ferris cares about him or that he can be dangerous when he's out of control.

No offense meant, but it seems like you don't understand much about the story to make such a statement. Your understanding appears to be shallow which makes me doubt this story is suitable for your enjoyment, I guess?? This arc is not wholly centred on Ryner and Ferris, even though they are a key component. It's about the God Eyes Group, Tiir's other side, Ryner being able to identify with others like him, Gastark's rotten perspective that Cursed Eyes are WMD and not humans, including the children who had not killed anyone. You also get to see Spunkial in action. And it's not to let you know what you already knew about Ferris, but rather what you know Ferris doesn't know before, and her slowly realizing it at a conscious level from the deeper subconscious level. And Ryner is VERY DANGEROUS even when he is in control! When did he go out of control in this episode by the way?? Furthermore Tiir is an important character and so is his faction, albeit at a later stage. Skipping these is detrimental to understanding the story on a whole. Arguably, as I've mentioned in many posts, there are many important points mentioned in passing strewn throughout the whole anime that can only be picked up by LN readers, since we know how they link. That's why it's sad that anime-only watchers can never have max enjoyment and appreciation of the story. Thank god I picked up Japanese 10 years ago.

On a different note, Luke is just too cool! If the character poll has started now instead, he would definitely get a much higher ranking . Ryner despite being more serious, still haven't exhibited 100% of his true powers yet . And I can't wait for Sion to repeat Ryner and Ferris's words fufufu. Those words stuck so much since they get repeated a multitude of times in the novel into the sequel as well, and I spoke them a split second before they did.

This weeks episode certainly delivered. Ryner development was easily my favorite part of the episode, with some really nice dialogue from Ferris. Deaths were expected, but still very .

So Froade releases Milk i guess, but still don't know why Luke attacked Ryner, i found it amusing that Ryner thought about letting himself get killed, but then Ferris to the rescue, so Lafra and his girl died, interesting to see another alpha stigma go crazy other than Ryner, got to see how they crystallize the eyes, so Ryner actually wanted to kill Lir, he should have done it though, i liked the Ferris and Ryner development best, Ferris told Ryner her true feelings, i liked when they showed him battle within himself, looks like he can control it now, so Lir called him the solver of all formulas, Ryner didn't even know, so good teamwork at the end to get the kids out of there, Luke seems to be fine with not killing Ryner now, still don't get that, glad Ryner is going back to with Ferris, i liked how he asked her to kill him specifically if he went out of control, so Sion takes a stand and decides to not kill Ryner, so next ep some Claugh and Nao screen time, and it looked like Kiefer in trouble

Dang Ferris was awesome in this episode! It was pretty impressive to see her taking down all the lighting beasts that were giving the magic users trouble in just one slice. Too bad we haven't seen any other sword fighters in this series, I'd love to see Ferris get in a serious fight with someone who isn't just throwing magic at her.
And I'm guessing the climax for the finale is going to be a battle between Roland and Gastark (although it sounds like the God's Eye children were forming their own faction so this might be a three way battle). Since there is a second series I doubt that's going to end the hostilities between them so maybe that will kick off a war between them too, and since I get the feeling we aren't getting a second season I guess I'll have to track down those lovely novel translations.
